Before the monster outbreak,
"Hey max what are you doing in front of the Cedar's house." said one of the city guard who was escorting civilians to city hall. " We were assigned as body guards for this home, right now Harry has gone in the house for convince them to evacuate, so we can escort them with us in city hall."
Inside the house Rose holding John came down to look what was going on. Mark and Martha were talking to the Henry. ' why are they talking about escorting us in safe place? . Hmm as I thought , something big is happening right now that may decide the fate of my and all people living here.
' Any way , I am just child and I can't do anything even if my adventure story ends before it's starts.
" Okay, by the way , it's pity that you would not be with us on the city gate for defending the city.".
"Yeh, you are right, we have allready have been assigned with the task of protecting Cedar's family." As they were done talking , Henry came out of the house with Butler Mark, old maid Martha, and young girl Rose. After making familiarizing with other civilians all three guards escorted them to city hall.
Current time.
Attacks were constantly were fired by the cannons and cross bows from the city wall. Team of mages made of third and fourth circles started chanting the spell , as the spell continued large shield got deployed all over the city.
Someone from the city wall noticed that trees were moving and said " Trees are coming towards us" hearing this James looked at the south and said " Those are not trees, they are mutated monster trees use fire arrows and fire canoons on them, fire."
Multiple fire spells , cannons and fire arrows were fired in single round leading to a scene of sky lighted with fire. As the attacks dropped down on the mutated trees, they caught fire and some of them falled down or got hole in their bodies, as they got hit by cannons.
Watching the commotion in front of him Tharg frowned as he watched tree monsters coming towards him and said " offcourse they will come in last, they are slow as f**k."
" Why are you complaining, don't you know trees are the best training dummies." Said Arthur as his sword glowed red than he slashed it in air towards the mutated trees, a long red beam sliced down the ground in half and every monster that came in it's way
Tharg watching his friend getting excited, he also got motivated and when he was finding his next target, he found the Iron tyrant and rushed towards it his body Started expanding, fingers turned in long claws of both limbs. His face transformed into a tiger, black and orange strips all over the body. He growled " grrr grrrrr .."
Iron tyrant looked like a large brown bear with six metre height on four legs but reached 11 meters by standing on two feets , his face had large red eyes and mouth that opened as wide, that it could reach it's own ears. When it noticed Tharg it stood on his two feet and growled in low voice " huhh huff hhh" Tharg got furious after hearing at as he knew that iron tyrant didn't take him seriously.
He covered his whole body in orange mana and confronted the iron tyrant face to face , iron tyrant tried to block Tharg with own big claws, but he flipped his huge body in mid air and crashed on it's shoulder, making it grunt as Tharg used both of his claws to dig in it's left shoulder.
The iron fur which it was his biggest pride didn't even gave a struggle against the claws of the enemy. It opened his large mouth and tried to bite down on upper back of Tharg, before it can happen a fist with metal knuckles and coated with blue mana collided with its face. Few of it's teeths got knocked out, after experiencing extreme pain, it throwed it's own body on left with full force . A loud noise could be heard. It got shocked as it show Tharg was still attached on it's body like a lich, James who had landed the fist also got astonished seeing this.
Tharg didn't let go and bited down on the huge chunk of neck, it could not endure it anymore and growled in pain. James watching this thought ' it feels like I should not interfere in his battle.' as he saw red eyes of Tharg.
Tharg deepened his claws more on it's shoulder to get better grip, and then he started to shake his face side to side and uprooted the whole huge chunk of it's body, causing massive blood splash on his body. Arteries and veins maintaining the blood supply got crushed completely.
The iron tyrant's vision blurred only watching enemy bathed with it's own blood and smilling at it's face.
Watching the death of Iron tyrant, Goblin lord directly ambushed Tharg with using it's Khopesh. A weapon which had short handles made of wood and one metre long sickle blade. It was not a normal sickle , what makes it different is the top notch of blade which we little wider and pointy at the end. This shape gave it a design similar to a shark teeths, as a prey gets caught in its jaws tries escape the teeth removes large portion of its part of the body.
Same thing happened to Tharg as it got caught of guard , one of the Khopesh stuck on his abdomen and second one got deflected as he used his claws to hit back.
The goblin lord like a maniac laughed and immediately pulled out the blade, Tharg used his left hand to cover the wound and jumped back to get in safe position. The goblin lord licked the blood on it's blade and , ate the chunk of the mass which it had stuck on and revealed a creepy smile as it loved to play with it's prays.
Both James and Arthur appeared between Tharg and Goblin lord, Arthur looked at Tharg and said to the near by hunters " take him to the healers '.
James without wasting any time directly jumped on the goblin lord, using as his knuckles as main weapon it punched at goblin lord , which he blocked with his blades. Spark flew as they confronted each other multiple times in few seconds.
James slightly put his guard down, letting the goblin lord smirk for the opportunity and sliced down at him but he gracefully jumped up and landed on top of the blade and threw a powerful punch on it's face.
Before it can get it's balance , Arthur who was allready in position pushed his feet off the ground and used the shoulder of James for momentum as he came from the back . He directly aimed at the neck of goblin lord, as it already sensed danger it twisted it's body in mid air still got cut on shoulder. Goblin lord caught the sword between in his neck and shoulder and kicked back Arthur , and used his blades cut him which were blocked by James in no time.
Arthur didn't got injured , only gained some pain in his hands . As he had used his hands to block the attack. When the Goblin lord full aggro was taken by James, Arthur focused his mana and elevating his hand he used telekinesis on his sword and forced it go more deeper on it's neck.
Goblin lord dropped down both of it's blades and caught the sword which was trying to get into it's neck. Dropping down the blades were it's biggest mistakes of life, as it was not alive on the next moment. A goblin lord is powerful monster but It doesn't have the defence similar to Iron tyrant's. Previously Iron tyrant's head died, as it's full credit should gone to the strength of Tharg."
When the both weapons were dropped by the goblin lord, James used a powerful kick on the sword that had been stuck on it's neck leading to slicing the head down.
They both got exhausted and wanted to relax for a moment but they can't , because there was a still one calamity monster was remaining.
As they both tried to find out where it was hiding, the treant was standing beside the corpse of Iron tyrant, it looked down on it's dead body and then something unexpected happened. Treant used it's beaches to hold the dead body and swellowed the whole body in one gulp.
Treant started to expand as it's body was already 30 meters tall. As before it could complete the transformation Merlin appeared , who couldn't keep eye on battle as he was engaged in healing of Tharg.
Merlin used one of his strongest and quickest spell, " fire strom" . Before it can hit the target, something unusual happened. A girl with green hair and wearing clothes made of leaves came out of the treant. She used her hands as a gestures to guide the thick and long roots coming out of the ground to block the all attacks.
Arthur and James reached there at same time and attacked together but all in vain as a well of roots and tree branches blocked everything.
Arthur said " is not that forest care taker , a Dryad. But why would she help a mutated treant."
" She might have been born on the tree , which later must have been gained consciousness becoming a mutated tree . A study suggests that a tree with dryad grows way faster than normal tree.."
" So , you are saying that after becoming a mutated tree it might have started eating monsters . This abnormality of eating monsters lead it to ascend in a treant. It still doesn't make sense why would a dryad would help it .' said James after trying to attack once again and failed.
" That's right that's one possibility, as for how they both got ended up together can only be answered after we free her from the treant."
