In the beginning, reality as we knew it was nothing.
Then, it was something.
Somewhere within that "something" was someone...
...at least, that is the most logical explanation. And that "someone" can be considered responsible for shaping the pile of "something" into what we observe as the universe we know today. "Someone" had a little passion project -
Life.
Passion went into obsession, and "someone" became so obsessed with running experiments that it neglected the rest of the "something," pouring all of its effort into maintaining its little sandbox, Earth.
And thus, "someone" took the dust to form man, and it was good.
"Someone" took the man's rib to make woman, and it was good.
"Someone" took the woman's pain to make the serpent, and it was good.
"Someone" took the man's deceit to make the spider, and it was good.
"Someone" took the advice of the serpent to flood mankind, and it was good.
"Someone" tried to close his eyes to sleep, but they were already sewn shut.
In the beginning there is the dust, and the dust brings life. In the end there is the flood, and the flood brings death.
In the beginning, a serpent and spider told the dust that it was man.
And the dust believed it.
Can you see it? There is a hole shining in the holes between your eyelids.
There is the essence of the spider in the holes between your eyelids.
There is the tail of the serpent underfoot.
