Merlin elevating his wand chanted a something and said " thunder strike" causing a massive blue lightning hitting the barrier created by Dryad , it destroyed every thing that came in it's path and melted down some roots and branches with it's intace heat.
What revealed was , a black tee fifty meter tall and twelve meter wide. It had no leaves. All of it's branches were purple coloured and thick as a trunks. It had a huge opening at from fifteen meter above the ground , like a huge mouth and big sockets for green coloured eyes.
Dryad looked at the treant, to see what it had become. It ran towards it happily climbing on one of it's branches and sat down.
" Thunder strike" , as Merlin used the same attack again on the treant, following James ran towards it and smashed every branches and roots by using his strongest attack " Nova
Strike" . Arthur ran on the branches as it came towards him jumping from one to another and stricked down directly above it's mouth. As he returned after hitting it a big lightning struck the treant.
"Did it work" said James said in a exhausted voice.
He got his answer as treant Came out of the all the dust and smoke without a single injury, a ball of branches opened reveling the dryad, it had made a protective barrier for her as she stays safe.
Treant looked at the all the humans and monsters fighting each other and then it's eyes looked at the dead body of goblin lord. Merlin, James and Arthur they all got a cold sweat at same time thinking what will happen if it devoured one more calamity monster
But it's eyes didn't linger there more instead looked away from it , almost saying that it was not interested in it anymore and started to walk in the direction of the city wall . Sensing something from the city started to take it attention, something small bu full of vitality, so it rushed towards it
Watching a massive tree coming in their direction, the mage team and all the other defence teams of city wall stoped their attacks on other small flies and started all out attack on the treant
Treant roared with it's massive mouth, massive purple coloured branches swiped every attack comming in it's direction. All purple branches got stopped by a blue barrier defending the city. But it didn't lasted more as it used all of the r.oots to dig a tunnel from below the ground that came out on the surface from the other side of the barrier and started to attack from inside.
Small branches with pointy tips made huge holes in the bodies of anyone that came in it's way of path both monsters and humans.
All the city guards , adventurers and hunters tried their best to cut off the branches and roots from inside and outside . Under constant attacks from both side by Treant and the monsters iron bears, goblins and mutated trees, cracks started to appear. it couldn't withstand the final blow as Dryad used both of her hands to launch a black beam to destroy the barrier.
All the mages responsible for maintaining the barrier puked blood out of their and some of them fainted down by backlesh from the breaking down of the barrier .
In side forest,
Both Selena and Cedar were still fighting against the black hooded people.
One who was standing in the middle chuckled and said " I would not had thought in making my plan for even hundred times that you both a weird dragonoid and a high human will almost destroy my plan and I have to personally interfere to make it work out."
"My name is Morpheus a black mage and I can give you a good position in our organisation if you are willing to submit me."
Selena hissed and said " f**k your self , Prepare for getting suprise again"
Selena took out an magic potion to replanish the mana, She looked at her husband said cover me I need some time" Cedar without any delay used black dragon breath against them , breaking the mana barrier but got deflected after hitting a metal shield as a burly hooded guy standing on the left side came in front of other two.
Getting directly Hit by the dragon breath the shield made sound of a crack and the hand of the shilded guy got bloodied, but he didn't show any expression of pain. Selena started to chant a spell
" You are getting ahead of your self, what both of you are doing stop her whatever she doing." Said Morpheus
Cedar launched towards them in zig zag formation to avoid the all the fire balls fired by the person standing on the right. He got near them and slashed his claws against the sheild guy destroying his shield in half and direct hit on his chest , knocking him down.
Cedar rushed towards Morpheus and threw a punch imbued in black mana but met with the purple first of it's opponent causing massive energy blast , throwing everyone out of their balance. Morpheus shaked his hand after it started regenerate with insane speed. He used his regenerated hand to grab the head of Cedar , before Morpheus can uplift him Cedar grabbed both hands of Morpheus and brought him in the front as the spell shot forward.
" Oh Great Spirit, of the moon Under this Full Moon,
I seek your might and judgement . Illuminate My path
& assist me to align my actions with my highest purpose."
A light envoloping the Selena appeared and a pure white shillohaute rose from her behind and rushed forward straight towards the Morpheus and Cedar. As pure white light collided with the Morpheus , he got flung away including both of his companions and Cedar who was holding him back.
Morpheus and Selena were only two standing up, her strength was all gone and she was barely standing.
His hood was burnt down and his face could be seen , pure white short hair with long red coat and white shirt inside with black pants. He looked disappointed and amused and said
" Someone has interfered, the mission has already been failed. So there is no need for me to be here any further." Got teleported out of there .
Selena falled on her knees and could see someone familiar coming towards her before she fainted down.
At the Ironhold city,
" What was that sound , it felt like something big drope down from sky." Said Rose and hugged Martha . Martha looked at her and pated her head and said i" don't worry nothing will happen to us , see everyone here are with us including those powerful guards. We are all safe okay".
" Hmm how long we will be here" and Martha replied " we will leave this place as soon as young master's parents comes back."
" Okay " said Rose and started to play with John again
' what does this girl thinks of why are we here in this bunker like place. It's because people are fighting out there. I want to grow as soon as possible so imI can also become something like a swordsman or a mage. It would be cool."
Everything was destroyed or was on the verge of collapsing, Merlin was only one still struggling against the treant but he couldn't do anything other than slowing down for few seconds.
Merlin was a fifth circle mage , where a sixth circle was needed even to put up a battle against a Catastrophic monster.
Outer walls were destroyed and the treant had allready reached at middle area of the city. Treant was heading at directly towards the city hall but stopped it's advance, as mana circle appeared in air in front of it.
Two man in their mid forties appeared against the treant. One had two black horns on his head with short black hair, black shirt embroidered with gold and black pants which focused more on comfort.
Second guy had long white hair and silver clothing, long kurta like design witth embroidery of various designs made of platinum.looked like an elf without ears .
As they both watched, Merlin who was almost collapsing the white haired man captured him as he appeared near him and used some kind of spell that washed away all the exhausten of Merlin. Moved him to a safe distance and reappeared again in front of the treant.
" Yes , as you are right now you could be considered a pseudo catastrophic monster and with that dryad you might cause massive imbalance in heirchy but against true power everything is meaning less." Said white haired man
The man with black hair said " are you just going to talk, he almost tried to take the life of someone it should not even come near , as his guardian I will teach him a lesson."
" You are not only one who is angry" said the white haired man and both of them got ready for attack .
The white haired man chanted a spell and said "Meteorite" and a massive astroid started to fall from the sky watching this the treant wanted to move but the black haired man appeared against it and hit it's body with his fist in full force. He cut down every root and branches with his bare hands and stayed in close proximity kicking and hitting it with massive strength.
Dryad watching it tried to help but was captured away by white haired man with blue ball made out of mana and said finish it off.
Black haired man said "you don't have to tell me twice" and caught the treant with both hands and uprooted it from the ground and throwing it towards the Meteorite in the sky. As they both collided massive explosion sounded all over half millimetre in radius
A small part of treant falled down near the battle, it had black monster core in it's body remaining safe. Everything else had become black charcoal.
Man and women with almost same properties as the both white haired man and black haired man appeared in front of them. They all bowed at them and one of them said " all monsters are taken down by us. Both of them have been brought back and right now are being taken care by the healers. They are just exhausted after using more than usual mana nothing else "
" Hmm okay I will meet them after they recover , what do you say old man." Said white haired man
" It's alright with me., first I want to see what is wrong with that dryad and treant" said black haired man.
