Hermione originally intended to become the first student in class to complete Professor McGonagall's assignment perfectly.
More specifically, she intended to defeat Logan Anderson publicly and establish herself as the true academic genius of Gryffindor.
Unfortunately, reality proved cruel once again.
Not only had Logan completed the transformation before her, but he had done so using wandless magic.
Hermione stared at him from a distance with quiet resentment.
"Hmph," she muttered softly. "Looks like I'll need to spend even more time in the library after class."
Meanwhile, Professor McGonagall looked frighteningly excited.
At this point, she had entirely abandoned the dignified image of a strict professor and instead resembled an elderly Transfiguration fanatic discovering buried treasure.
She grabbed Logan's shoulders enthusiastically.
"Outstanding, Anderson! Absolutely outstanding!"
Her eyes practically glowed.
"You will certainly become a remarkable wizard someday. If you ever encounter difficulties regarding Transfiguration—or magic in general—come directly to me."
Then she added firmly:
"I will personally teach you everything I know."
Immediately afterwards, Professor McGonagall turned toward the class and announced loudly:
"Because Mr Anderson completed the assignment first, achieved a flawless transformation, demonstrated exceptional speed, and performed wandless spellcasting—"
"Gryffindor earns twenty-five points!"
The surrounding students looked confused briefly.
Most first-years still lacked a proper concept regarding the value of house points.
But honestly…
Who cared?
It sounded impressive.
[Ding.]
[Mission Completed.]
[Rewards Obtained: Legendary Point ×1]
[Magic Enhancement Potion ×1]
Hearing the system notification, Logan immediately felt a small weight appear discreetly inside his robe pocket.
The potion reward had materialised automatically.
Fortunately, the spellbook system possessed enough intelligence not to summon rewards openly in front of others.
Otherwise, Logan would spend half his life explaining impossible nonsense.
Some secrets truly worked best when hidden.
Logan felt extremely satisfied.
Another Legendary Point secured effortlessly.
Excellent.
Not long afterwards, Hermione finally became the second student to complete the assignment successfully.
Still, after Logan's absurd performance, her accomplishment unfortunately appeared somewhat ordinary by comparison.
Professor McGonagall praised her briefly before moving on.
Hermione immediately added another invisible tally mark against Logan internally.
Revenge would come eventually.
Nearby, Ron and Harry continued battling their matchsticks unsuccessfully.
Eventually Harry managed a decent transformation attempt, while more and more students slowly achieved partial success.
Ron alone remained trapped in suffering.
Honestly, Logan felt slightly sympathetic.
Slightly.
Still, there was no possible way he could comfort Ron properly.
After all, he could hardly lean over and whisper:
"Don't feel bad. I'm cheating with an interdimensional magical system."
That would probably trigger a duel immediately.
....
Elsewhere inside Hogwarts Castle, Professor McGonagall marched rapidly toward the Headmaster's office.
After speaking the irritatingly ridiculous password, she pushed the office doors open forcefully and entered.
Inside, Dumbledore sat quietly contemplating various matters over tea.
He looked mildly surprised by her sudden arrival.
"Minerva?" he asked curiously. "I thought you had just finished your first-year Transfiguration lesson."
Professor McGonagall skipped all unnecessary pleasantries entirely.
"Albus," she said seriously, "something unbelievable happened."
Dumbledore blinked.
That immediately caught his attention.
Professor McGonagall stepped forward.
"Logan Anderson completed the match-to-needle transformation perfectly."
Dumbledore nodded calmly.
"That is certainly impressive for a first-year, though hardly—"
"He did it without a wand."
Silence.
Dumbledore slowly lowered his teacup.
Then—
BANG!
The cup lid slammed loudly onto the desk.
"For a first-year student?" Dumbledore asked incredulously.
Professor McGonagall nodded firmly.
"I saw it with my own eyes."
The office became very quiet.
Dumbledore leaned back into his chair slowly and closed his eyes thoughtfully.
Meanwhile, the various magical portraits hanging throughout the office immediately erupted into heated discussion.
Some former headmasters looked alarmed.
Others seemed fascinated.
Several instantly compared Logan to Voldemort.
"Such talent at that age is dangerous."
"He must be watched carefully."
"Nonsense. The boy merely requires proper guidance."
The portraits rapidly descended toward full argument mode.
Some nearly climbed out of their frames entirely.
Dumbledore ignored them all while continuing to think silently.
A child possessing overwhelming magical reserves.
Possible connection to an Obscurus.
Complete resistance to Legilimency.
And now wandless casting.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
....
Meanwhile, Logan finally escaped Harry and Ron temporarily before hiding himself within a quiet corner of the Hogwarts grounds.
Once alone, he carefully removed the small blue potion bottle from his pocket.
The liquid inside shimmered softly.
Logan did not doubt the potion's safety whatsoever. If the system intended to poison him, he would already be dead several times over.
No.
His true concern was simpler.
"What if it tastes horrible?"
Logan hated bitter medicine passionately.
Still, magical power enhancement remained far more important than flavour.
Taking a deep breath, he uncorked the bottle and drank everything in one go.
Several seconds passed.
Then Logan blinked.
"…Huh."
It tasted surprisingly pleasant.
Almost like sweet yoghurt.
"Mildly sour too," he muttered thoughtfully. "Not bad."
The moment he finished drinking, the empty bottle suddenly crumbled into glowing dust before dispersing completely into the air.
Logan stared at the disappearing particles.
"How environmentally friendly."
Then warmth spread slowly from his stomach throughout his entire body.
The sensation felt comforting.
Gentle.
Powerful.
Soon afterwards, Logan clearly sensed the magical energy inside him strengthening noticeably.
His lips curled upward immediately.
Excellent.
But more importantly—
He finally possessed enough Legendary Points.
Enough to complete his first custom-created spell.
Logan summoned the grimoire instantly.
On one of its pages, the unfinished structure for Solar Flash remained glowing faintly.
Without hesitation, Logan confirmed the spell creation.

[Congratulations.]
[You have obtained the spell: Solar Flash.]
The next second, endless magical knowledge flooded directly into Logan's mind.
Spell structures.
Casting methods.
Combat instincts.
Practical applications.
It felt as though countless years of experience compressed themselves violently into a single instant.
When Logan slowly reopened his eyes, his expression had changed slightly.
Calmer.
Sharper.
More dangerous.
Quietly, he opened his status panel once more.
