Old Martin lead them to the highest mountain Ojos del salado, as they reached near it. Old Martin pointed towards the big arch like opening could be seen. The entrance was of made of cutting out huge chunk of black and brown rocks . As they entered the mouth of the cave different coloured layers could be seen.
Bruce walked towards the wall touching the surface of the carved wall. " It is made of various minerals such as a iron, after getting piled up in layers after layers from volcanic eruption it might have been hundreds years still it has different coloured crusts almost like it had just happened not long ago."
" What does that mean, i don't understand speak in normal language so I could understand." said Butcher.
" It means , the surface should have been locked like gray coloured or dark red or brown coloured after oxidation of hundred years but it still looks like it Is fresh. It might be a good news to, it contains high amount minerals, which means it might also have mines of ores. We will be crazy reach if we find it." said Bruce.
" That means it is a jackpot. Why are you not happy then ? ." said Butcher in excitement.
" Yes, you are right we are going to be reach. We should focus on our goal rather than trying to make sense of this place." said Bruce.
" Let's go then , I can't wait. Gold and lots of gold and would not mind if I got some diamonds and jewels. I would not be shy if you even gave me some mana ores." Butcher started sing in excitement as he put his hands on bandits on both sides and started to dance as they walked.
They entered a large chamber , it was surrounded by black walls. A river of magma was running at the corner falling down in bottom les pit. Rocks around the the running magma was shining ores.
Bruce ordered the other bandits take out enhanced pickaxes so they can dig out the ores.
"This shows , there should be more of places like this if we find a way to go further down." said Butcher.
" I don't think you should be more greedy." said Old Martin.
"You must know the biggest mine under this mountain, right lead us to there or you will see the dead body of that child." said Bruce in threatening voice.
" I have already leaded you to mine as I promised. Now let's go as you promised." said old Martin.
Butcher and Bruce both looked each other and laughed "hahahaha., hahahaha , hehe hee hee hee."
Butcher caught the John from the collar and walked towards the pit where Lava was falling down. He stopped at the edge of the pit and hanged down John on the pit.
"You don't want do it , He is just a child " said old Martin in panicked voice.
" You better believe me , I can do more than that." said Butcher
John could hear everything as he was acting of being fainted. The pendant given as a gift to him in small age had deployed a thin barrier in his body as it absorbed the full impact of the tackle.
Suddenly the whole hand of Butcher froze up and before he could react, John caught the other hand of Butcher to swing and landed on just beyond the edge of the pit. He aimed both of his hands said * wind gust " a powerful air current assaulted Butcher but he had already created a mana barrier leading to the impact to hit on the ground.
John used this small chance to get away from the Butcher and prepare for the next attack. Bruce watched from the distance could not care more about Butcher as he was fighting against a child.
Bruce then looked at the old Martin said" this your last chance, if you don't do what we say he will die and after that we will kill you." said Bruce as he licked his lips.
" Kkk kkk kya kya kii...kii.. do you really think that you can threaten me. This , the feeling of freedom. Now I will kill you all." said old Martin in a creepy voice .
" Hey , you check that old man and put some sense in him." said to nearby bandit with sword on his belt. Bandit moved closer to the laughing old man as he got near the old man he could see that his hands had become long and black and had only four fingers with long nails.
He took a step back and looked at his face, brown eyes of the old man had turned into complete white. " Monst.. ahg aa a " before he could finish the sentence he got chopped down by the long black hand of Martin.
The torso of bandit got cut in half as the upper part fell down while the lower part of the body stayed still only it to fall down after one second.
His whole body Started to transforming into that of a creature with long black hands and legs. His face turned up side down and turned into a complete ovel shaped and white coloured face. His face was completely blank without any features still it gave a expression of a maniac who loved killing for thrill.
" Kill that thing as soon as possible before it tries to attack us " said Bruce in panicked voice after seeing one of them died in a single strike from it.
All the bandits threw the pickaxes away and took out their weapons to attack the monster. Three mage bandits started to use fire balls on the monster. Old Martin watching the fire balls watching coming at him cut through everything and directly rushing towards them
One of the bandits had polearms as their weapons and both of them thrust them towards the monster one after another. Old Martin used his one hand to grab polearm and pulled down the guy with it and used his second hand to stabilize him in abdomen. Fountain of blood came as he pulled out his hand with parts of internal organs from the abdomen .
Old Martin used the body of the bandit as a shield as the second guy's polearm got stuck on it as he had tried to attack the monster. Before he could get his polearm out of his allie body , his face was torn apart as it was cut by three large blades that of a grinding mixure.
Butcher sensing the danger threw John on the side and ran towards the Martin while covering his whole body in a red colored mana and collided with the monster in full force. Both the monster and Butcher got smashed in wall near the entrance. The entrance got closed of as the upper wall cracked and brock down in large blocks of rocks.
Butcher got out of the rubble. " Hey get out of their." said Bruce as he moved his wand and said 'It looks like a dark creature so light and fire magic will best for it. I don't have any light magic spells so here it goes' " fire barrage, how do you like that. Hahaha." A big orange sun rose above the the Bruce and rapid fire beams started to fire towards the rubble. other mage bandits also used fire ball to continuously attack the monster.
A pin drop silence was maintained until Bruce laughed out loud and said " you see that, that is what happens when monsters like you face someone powerful like me."
" Hey watchout said the, axe weilding bandit as he came in front of Bruce and stricked his axe towards the hand of the monster. The monster was already on the face of the bandit as it used the axe to jump and land behind the three mages.
" Stay away from them " said Butcher as he ran towards them only to see heads flying in air as the monster cut down all three heads in half moon swipe.
"Don't kill me " Bruce pleaded as he falled on his back and started to crawl back
Both axe weilding and Butcher started to attack the monster from both side not giving a second so it can attack.
" Hey , Bruce what are you doing attack it now." said Butcher and looked behind but he was nowhere to find.
As they both fought tiredness could be seen in their eyes, but the monster looked like it can do this for whole day.
Bruce took the all space rings from the dead bodies. ' it might have small amount of ores but this will be enough to make reach enough so I don't have to work for a while.' then he looked at the John who was not on the edge of the pit anymore.
'where did he go?' thought Bruce as he walked near the pit and saw a staircase like structure along the wall of pit on which he was standing.
" Oh , so you found out the escape route. as he observed the whole staircase with mana eyes. "It iwas worth it , looking for you." Bruce also started to climb down the stairs. '
As he claimed down the stairs, a opening at the nearby Wall could be seen. He looked at the entrance at the nearby Wall and than looked at the bottom less pit and thought ' It is obvious that he will take this route rather than climbing down.'
He jumped and entered the mouth of the cave. After entering the cave he ran towards the exit as a light coming from some distance could be seen.
" I am in heaven, I am rich, not just reach but f****ng reach like no one in a life time might have a seen the wealth this much other than me". He laughed like maniac as he touched the dark gold ores as it filled the whole chamber with it. The light from the running lava river and the combination of dark gold ore illuminated the whole place like a sun drenched space.
A large silhouette came out from the back of the shiny dark yellow ores, Seeing the face clearly of the silhouette Bruce smilled and said in innocently like every word he said was truth " I knew that you will definitely win against that monster. You see this place it is filled with dark gold all of it."
" You left me alone , you left me alone to die. I will kill you to so non of us can have to be separated and will meet in hell." said Butcher in a voice great resentment.
Hearing this Bruce who had already prepared a spell in advance didn't even though for a second and launched the spell "fire arrows". As twenty fire arrows went straight towards the Butcher and hitting every single fire arrow without out missing any."
Bruce took a deep breath and said " you think for you I will die and left behind this opportunity to become the most powerful being on this world. It absurd that you might think I will give up on this.'
Bruce laughed at the scene of his owerwhelming one sided victory but before he could celebrate a hand grasped his throat and squized as the Butcher came out of the fire, his face was half burnt with his whole torso was covered in blood and holes.
He chocked the Bruce with only one hand as his other hand was missing from below the elbow .
" You cannot do this to me . IAm this close of being the most powerful being of the world. A scum like you .. agh agh.. khno.. khn.. khno.. a cracking sound could be heard as Butcher started to increase the pressure on the neck of Bruce little by little.
Bruce pleaded as tears of blood started to come out of his eyes " I am sorry Butcher, you can have it all. It all yours just let me live." This were his last words as the neck finally brock like a dry branch of a tree. The lifeless body of Bruce falled down on the floor.
Butcher started to reduce in height as his appearance started change in a dark creature that Old Martin had transformed into.
It looked towards the dead body of Bruce as it was saying that " You who thought of becoming just little wealthy so you could live happy life ended up with so much greed that lead you to your pathetic end."
' It was a good idea of climbing down way further then the cave opening and let the Bruce guy got first. I will wait here for more few minutes until everything is settled down.'.
After an hour letter John started to climb towards the entrance where Bruce had gone. As he reached at the entrance of the cave a black creature was looking down it. The monster kicked at the edge of the entrance, breaking it down.
