Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Man on the Mountain

Chapter 6: The Man on the Mountain

**BOOM!!**

Meanwhile...

Lewis and his guards sped toward Rafson Club.

Looking out of the car window, Lewis fixed his gaze on the mountain where the racing track was located.

One of his bodyguards frowned in confusion.

"Why are there dark clouds covering only that mountain?"

Everyone inside the convoy was stunned.

The weather across the entire city was perfectly clear...

Yet the mountain near Rafson Club was engulfed in a violent storm.

Lewis remained silent.

His jaw tightened.

A strange emotion flickered across his eyes as he stared at the scene before him.

He already understood...

Something had gone terribly wrong.

For a brief moment, he slowly closed his eyes.

"Faster."

That was the only order he gave.

The entire convoy immediately accelerated toward the club.

Throughout the journey, Lewis never took his eyes off the distant mountain.

The longer he looked...

The colder his expression became.

He slowly raised his head toward the sky.

The full moon shone brilliantly overhead.

**A Full Moon Night...**

It was the perfect time for cultivation.

During a full moon, the spiritual energy within one's body reached its peak.

Many powerful ancient artifacts also awakened during this time.

But there was something else...

Something that continued to trouble Lewis from the depths of his heart.

He prayed...

That the thing he feared the most...

Would never happen.

His hand slowly reached toward the pendant hanging around his neck.

The moment his fingers touched it...

The fury in his eyes deepened.

He had to reach that mountain...

As quickly as possible.

### Rafson Club – Mountain Race Track

Without warning...

Steve's McLaren and Wilson's Ferrari came to an abrupt stop.

Neither of them looked surprised.

Both had already seen the gigantic mountain peak hurtling toward them.

Their cars hadn't stopped because they were safe...

They had stopped...

At death's doorstep.

The place where both cars had halted...

Was exactly where the collapsing mountain would land.

Their deaths...

Seemed inevitable.

The massive boulder closed the remaining distance in seconds.

One more moment...

And it would crush both supercars into pieces.

**BOOOOOM!!**

A deafening explosion echoed throughout the entire mountain range.

The sound was so overwhelming that everyone's hearts nearly stopped.

Countless people instinctively clutched their chests as their hearts pounded wildly.

The entire area was instantly swallowed by an enormous cloud of dust.

Powerful winds carried the dirt across the mountain, reducing visibility to almost nothing.

No one could see what had happened.

"What... where did all this dust come from?!"

Everyone was equally shocked.

The storm of soil completely covered the mountain.

Visibility had dropped so low that people couldn't even see the person standing a few steps away.

Dust filled their eyes...

Their mouths...

Their clothes...

The pressure of the wind was so terrifying that many struggled just to remain standing.

---

Nearby...

Danish could no longer keep her eyes open because of the dust.

She couldn't even see where Steve's car had stopped.

Beside her...

Adrian immediately placed one hand on the ground.

A glowing circular barrier instantly rose around them.

The protective shield completely surrounded Adrian...

Danish...

And the unconscious Ivan.

Not only did it block the dust from reaching them...

It also protected Ivan's wounds.

---

No one could see Steve or Wilson anymore.

Inside the McLaren...

Steve slowly opened his eyes.

He had already accepted death.

Yet...

Death never came.

Confusion filled his face.

He looked ahead.

Nothing.

Only endless dust.

---

Inside the Ferrari...

Wilson had covered his face with both hands, waiting for the mountain to crush him.

Several seconds passed.

Slowly...

He lowered his hands.

The outside world remained hidden behind thick clouds of dust.

He couldn't see anything.

**Click.**

Suddenly...

The locked car door unlocked by itself.

The windows rolled down.

Wilson immediately turned toward the direction where the mountain should have fallen.

There was nothing.

Only dust.

The gigantic boulder...

Had completely disappeared.

It was as though...

It had never existed in the first place.

A thought suddenly flashed through his mind.

His eyes instantly turned red.

"...Brother."

He whispered.

---

On the peak of another mountain...

A lone figure stood calmly at the very edge of the cliff.

The violent storm caused his clothes to flutter wildly.

His black hair, which usually covered his eyes, was blown backward by the raging wind.

Under the silver moonlight...

His impossibly handsome face seemed almost unreal.

One of his hands remained slightly raised.

His cold gaze was fixed upon the two pearls spinning rapidly high above the sky.

That man...

Was none other than...

**Agaas Blackwood.**

Wilson Blackwood's elder brother.
