## **Chapter 11**
**"Come in."**
The door slowly creaked open as David stepped into the room.
Noticing Agaas seated behind the desk, he immediately walked forward.
"Sir."
He lowered his head respectfully in greeting.
Agaas merely gave a faint nod.
"Hmm."
"Sir," David began, lifting his gaze. "According to the information we've gathered, only two members of the Smith family were present at the race track yesterday."
Agaas raised an eyebrow.
"Two people?"
"Yes, Sir."
David stepped forward and placed the first document on the desk.
"One of them was **Steve Smith**."
The file contained every detail they had managed to collect about him.
Agaas picked it up and glanced through it.
"This is the same Steve who participated in the race against the Young Master."
David nodded.
"Yes, Sir. Our investigation shows that the two had an argument two days before the race."
"Shortly afterward, someone approached them with the idea of settling their dispute through a car race."
"Both of them accepted."
"However, we still haven't discovered who suggested the race... or why."
"I believe we should investigate both matters."
"Find out who arranged it..."
"And why those two ended up clashing in the first place."
Agaas frowned slightly.
He already knew exactly why those two boys had argued.
"There is no need."
He gestured for David to continue.
David immediately handed him another file.
"The second person was **Ivan Smith**, Steve Smith's younger brother."
"He was also present during the argument."
"As far as we've been able to determine, it was Ivan who officially accepted the race on Steve's behalf."
Agaas simply nodded.
He wasn't particularly interested in either brother's profile.
"Sir, we've also learned that Ivan was severely injured while trying to protect Steve."
"He suffered a serious head injury."
"His treatment was personally handled by Edward Swan at Swan Hospital."
"However, only an hour after the operation, Lewis Smith transferred him back to Smith Mansion."
A faint chuckle escaped Agaas.
It was exactly what he had expected from Lewis.
"Hmm."
"Were they alone?"
David nodded before presenting a third file.
"The third person was **Adrian Swan**, the younger son of the Swan family and a close friend of Steve and Ivan."
"He was with them yesterday."
"But I don't believe he was involved."
"According to our investigation, after Ivan was injured, Adrian remained by his side to protect him."
Agaas briefly skimmed through Adrian's profile before tossing the file onto the table.
"Not him."
His cold gaze shifted back to David.
"Was there anyone else?"
David slowly shook his head.
"As far as we've discovered..."
"Those three are the only names that have surfaced."
Silence filled the room.
"If only those three were there..."
David paused.
Then he reached into his coat pocket and carefully took something out.
The moment Agaas saw it—
David's eyes widened.
It was...
A small blue handkerchief.
Soft fur lined its edges, while adorable little bunny designs were printed across the fabric.
The childish handkerchief looked strangely out of place in Agaas's hand.
It was almost impossible to associate something so cute with a man everyone feared like a devil.
David blinked.
"Sir..."
"Since when did you start using such adorable handkerchiefs?"
The room instantly fell silent.
Agaas slowly lifted his eyes.
David froze.
A chill ran down his spine.
"I-I mean..."
He swallowed nervously.
"My apologies, Sir."
"I meant... I don't understand what you're trying to say."
Without answering immediately, Agaas quietly stared at the handkerchief.
Then he finally spoke.
"This handkerchief..."
"...was lying at the exact spot where Alastor launched its second attack."
David's expression changed instantly.
"You mean..."
He hesitated.
"But, Sir..."
"Looking at it..."
"It seems like it belongs to a child."
As he subconsciously reached toward it—
**Smack!**
"Sir!"
David immediately pulled his hand back.
"Don't touch it."
Agaas's voice was calm.
Yet it carried undeniable authority.
"There was someone else there."
"Someone besides those three boys."
His sharp gaze settled on David.
"Didn't I tell you..."
"...to prepare a complete file on every single member of the Smith family?"
David, who had still been rubbing his stinging hand, immediately stood up straight.
"Yes, Sir."
"I brought it with me."
He quickly placed a thick file on the desk.
Agaas opened it and began reading each page carefully.
After several moments—
His eyes stopped on one particular name.
"...The youngest."
"Danish Smith."
David nodded.
"Yes, Sir."
"Danish Smith is the youngest child of Lewis Smith."
"Fifteen years old."
"We couldn't gather much information about her."
"The Smith family rarely allows her to leave the estate."
"In fact..."
"I couldn't even find a single photograph of her."
"They've kept every detail about her completely hidden."
David hesitated before speaking again.
"There is..."
"...one rather strange rumor."
Agaas looked up.
"What rumor?"
"They say..."
"...that Danish Smith is an ordinary human."
"A girl born without any powers."
For the first time—
Agaas fell silent.
"...No powers?"
"Yes, Sir."
"None."
Agaas slowly narrowed his eyes.
"You're telling me..."
"...that Lewis Smith's daughter possesses no abilities whatsoever?"
"That she's..."
"...just a human?"
David nodded.
"There are even rumors claiming..."
"...that she's weaker than an ordinary human."
Silence once again settled over the room.
After a long pause—
Agaas finally spoke.
"The Smith family never brings her to social gatherings..."
"Do they?"
"No, Sir."
David nodded.
Then Agaas leaned back in his chair.
"As far as I remember..."
"Emma's birthday celebration is approaching."
"Yes, Sir."
A faint smile slowly appeared on Agaas's face.
"Tell Emma..."
"...to send Danish a personal invitation."
"A special one."
His eyes darkened with amusement.
"I'd like to see..."
"...how Lewis plans to stop her from attending this time."
