"Sir... is this really...?"
David's voice trembled. His legs refused to stop shaking.
The mysterious man remained silent.
**"Alastor Spirit Pearls..."**
"These are no ordinary pearls—they are demonic relics."
"Once unleashed upon a target, they do not stop until they have claimed that person's life."
"Their existence is recorded only in ancient texts."
"Legend says that when **Alastor, the First Demon**, was wounded, droplets of his blood gave birth to the Alastor Spirit Pearls."
"To witness such an artifact in the modern era..."
"...is nothing short of a miracle."
"Throughout history, only a handful of people have ever managed to stop these pearls."
"But only one person..."
"...has ever destroyed one."
"They possess unimaginable power. The moment they are released toward a target, that person's death becomes almost inevitable."
"However, wielding them is no easy feat."
"Awakening and controlling an Alastor Spirit Pearl requires an immense amount of spiritual energy."
"Only a pure bloodline that has cultivated its power for thousands of years possesses the strength to use them."
David's pupils trembled violently.
"B-But... weren't these pearls supposed to have gone extinct? Then... how...?"
He could hardly believe what he was seeing.
The legendary pearls mentioned only in ancient history...
...were actually floating before his eyes.
And their target...
...was none other than Steve and Wilson.
The mysterious man said nothing.
His cold gaze remained fixed on the enormous mountain peak rapidly collapsing toward the racing cars.
---
Meanwhile...
Wilson frowned as he watched the weather change before his eyes.
Everything about it felt wrong.
The forecast had promised a perfectly clear night.
Then why...
...had the sky suddenly turned into this?
A sense of danger crept into his heart.
His fingers tightened around the steering wheel.
His eyes shifted toward the speedometer.
**340 km/h.**
His pupils shrank.
His car had reached its absolute top speed.
Wilson immediately tried to slow down.
Nothing happened.
He pressed the brakes harder.
Still nothing.
The accelerator...
The brakes...
Even the steering wheel...
None of them responded anymore.
The car was no longer under his control.
Shock filled his face.
At almost the exact same moment...
Steve discovered the same horrifying truth.
His McLaren had also become completely uncontrollable.
Both supercars continued charging down the mountain road at maximum speed.
Neither of them could steer.
Neither could brake.
Neither could escape.
---
Steve's eyes slowly fell upon the jade bracelet wrapped around his wrist.
With that bracelet on...
He had become nothing more than an ordinary human.
He couldn't remove it.
He couldn't use his powers.
He couldn't do anything.
Out of the corner of his eye...
He noticed Wilson's Ferrari racing beside him toward the very same destination.
It almost felt...
...as though an invisible force had possessed both cars.
Neither of them had ever imagined they would end up in such a hopeless situation.
---
Wilson stared ahead.
His eyes widened in horror.
Panic completely overtook him.
He repeatedly slammed his fist against the car door, desperately trying to force it open.
His breathing became ragged.
His entire body trembled uncontrollably.
He even tried tearing the jade bracelet from his wrist.
But deep down...
He already knew.
No matter how hard he tried...
The bracelet would never come off.
---
Steve, on the other hand...
Gradually became calm.
It was as though...
He had accepted his own death.
Thousands of emotions flickered across his eyes.
Yet...
Not a single word left his lips.
---
"No..."
"T-This can't be..."
"How is this possible...?"
"Uncle told me these were nothing more than myths..."
"So why..."
"...are they really here...?"
Ivan's voice cracked.
Pain echoed in every word.
His bloodshot eyes remained locked on the mountain road...
...where his brother was speeding toward death.
Without hesitation...
He raised his hand toward the collapsing mountain.
At that exact moment—
**BOOM!!**
A bolt of lightning descended from the heavens...
...and struck Ivan directly.
"Ivan!!"
The terrifying impact hurled him nearly ten feet backward before he crashed onto the ground.
"Danish!"
"Adrian!"
Both of them immediately ran toward him.
"Ivan Brother!"
"Ivan Brother!"
Danish's tears poured down uncontrollably.
Her bright red eyes trembled with panic.
She carefully lifted Ivan's head onto her lap.
Blood continuously flowed from his forehead.
His entire body was covered in injuries.
---
Ivan's eyes remained open.
Blood trickled over his eyelashes.
He could no longer hear Danish's voice.
His gaze...
Never left the mountain road.
He continued staring at Steve's car.
Slowly...
His eyelids closed.
---
Adrian immediately knelt beside him.
Without wasting a second, he pulled out a tiny crimson bottle from his pocket and handed it to Danish.
"Azure!"
"Quick! Pour this into Ivan's mouth!"
Without hesitation...
Danish did exactly as Adrian instructed.
She trusted him completely.
After all...
Adrian came from a family of renowned doctors.
He would never do anything to harm Ivan.
---
Meanwhile...
Back on the mountain road...
Wilson had finally stopped struggling.
He quietly watched the enormous boulder rushing toward him.
A smile slowly appeared on his lips.
Yet tears streamed silently from his eyes.
Inside the McLaren...
Steve slowly closed his eyes.
He didn't resist.
He simply waited.
The gigantic mountain rock hurtled toward them...
And then—
**BOOOOM!!**
The deafening explosion echoed throughout the mountains.
