## Chapter 7: The Second Attack
**Agaas Blackwood.**
The ruler of the Blackwood Family.
Wilson Blackwood's elder brother.
A man surrounded by countless rumors.
People said...
He was no different from a devil.
Among all the heirs of the Royal Families, his strength was considered unparalleled.
---
There wasn't a trace of surprise on David's face.
He had just witnessed Agaas make an entire mountain disappear before his very eyes.
But he wasn't shocked.
Because he knew...
Exactly what the man standing before him was capable of.
Just as that thought crossed his mind—
**BOOM!!**
Another deafening bolt of lightning split the sky.
Everyone instinctively looked upward.
**The Alastor Spirit Pearls...!**
They were still spinning high above the clouds.
However...
Their color was beginning to change.
David's face instantly turned pale.
His lips trembled as he whispered,
"...No."
"Don't tell me..."
"Are they preparing for the second attack?"
According to the ancient records...
**The Alastor Spirit Pearls attack their target three times.**
And once they lock onto someone...
Death is almost inevitable.
---
As the dust gradually settled...
Steve and Wilson finally stepped out of their cars.
Both of them looked around in disbelief.
They had survived.
But before either of them could process what had just happened—
**BOOM!!**
A terrifying crack of thunder exploded overhead.
The sound was so loud that both of them instinctively covered their ears.
"N-No..."
"This... this can't be real..."
A trembling voice suddenly came from beside Steve.
Surprised, Steve turned around.
His eyes widened.
The arrogant young master who had mocked him only moments ago now stood completely frozen.
Wilson's face had turned deathly pale.
His eyes remained fixed on the sky.
It looked as though someone had ripped the soul out of his body.
Steve frowned.
"What's wrong now, Your Highness?"
"We barely escaped death because of you."
"Honestly..."
"I should've never agreed to wear this stupid jade bracelet."
Steve had completely lost his patience.
Because of Wilson...
He had nearly died today.
Now that he had somehow survived, the last thing he wanted was to waste any more time dealing with this spoiled young master.
He glanced at the Restricted Jade Bracelet on his wrist. Ever since he had put it on, his powers had been completely sealed..
Meanwhile...
Wilson didn't react at all.
In fact...
He hadn't even heard a single word Steve had said.
His horrified eyes remained locked on the sky.
Cold sweat slowly rolled down his forehead.
To him...
Death itself was floating above his head.
Seeing Wilson ignore him completely, Steve began to wonder whether the mountain incident had broken his mind.
He walked over and placed a hand on Wilson's shoulder.
"Wilson."
"Are you okay?"
Wilson didn't respond.
He stood there like a statue.
Not even blinking.
Steve's eyebrows slowly knitted together.
For some strange reason...
A small feeling of concern appeared inside him.
After all...
Sooner or later...
Wilson would become part of his family.
So worrying about him a little wasn't such a bad thing...
...Right?
Steve sighed.
"Hey, Young Master."
"Where did your soul disappear to?"
"Don't tell me that rock actually damaged your brain."
Wilson finally spoke.
His voice was barely audible.
"...Look up."
"What?"
"I said..."
"Look up."
"Our death..."
"...is waiting for us."
Before Steve could react...
Wilson grabbed his face with both hands and forcefully turned it toward the sky.
The moment Steve looked upward—
The color instantly drained from his face.
His pupils shrank.
He stood there...
Frozen.
High above them...
Two faint pink pearls circled endlessly in the storm.
Like predators patiently watching their prey...
Silently telling them...
**The game wasn't over yet.**
---
Meanwhile...
Lewis and his convoy finally arrived at the mountain beside Rafson Club.
The thunder they had heard echoed through the valley the very moment Lewis stepped out of his vehicle.
He slowly lifted his head.
His cold eyes landed upon the two pearls recorded only in ancient legends.
A complicated emotion flashed across his face.
Without saying another word...
He immediately rushed forward.
He didn't stop until he found Ivan and Adrian beneath a massive tree.
Adrian was supporting Ivan's unconscious body.
Fresh blood stained both of their clothes.
Lewis immediately knelt beside Ivan.
His expression darkened after seeing the injury on the young man's head.
"Ivan..."
He gently checked the wound before raising his cold gaze toward Adrian.
"What happened?"
"And where are Danish and Steve?"
---
At the edge of another mountain...
Agaas continued staring at the Alastor Spirit Pearls.
He knew...
The second attack was about to begin.
Without wasting another second...
He slowly raised one hand toward the sky.
Dark black flames began emerging from his palm.
The fire twisted and condensed.
Little by little...
It formed into a perfectly compressed sphere.
Just as Agaas was about to launch it toward the pearls—
**BOOM!!**
A blinding bolt of lightning shot straight toward him.
Agaas merely narrowed his eyes.
Not even a hint of panic appeared on his face.
Nearby...
David's expression changed dramatically.
Seeing the lightning racing toward them, he immediately created a protective barrier around himself.
But—
**BOOM!!**
The lightning completely ignored both of them.
It streaked past their position...
Heading somewhere else.
---
Meanwhile...
Danish had been searching through one of the nearby cars for something.
Just as she found what she was looking for...
She instinctively glanced upward.
The moment her eyes met the sky...
They widened in absolute terror.
