Each head of the family called their team to draft up the best proposals. Enjoying a meal and a couple of drinks while they wait, as soon as the contracts came and got placed in front of everyone James placed his glass of wine down looking at the contracts. Putting on a cold smile, he glanced over at the current heads.
"Before I sign this, I want to tell a story. It begins as a security guard doing his work by then a department head came over getting him fired for embezzlement, and when this security guard tried to prove his innocence, he got beaten up to a bloody pulp, when he got sent to the hospital the person on duty turned the poor security guard away because he does not associate themselves with the lower class, so when he finally recovered enough he went to his second job and got fired without pay because of the state he was in." as James spoke he looked at Kennedy, Ollie and Riley.
The Elders noticed the cold look they three was receiving "that security guard died 7 times that month because of the whole ordeal, if it wasn't because of a friend he wouldn't be sitting here today addressing you all" the three were drenched in sweat, Julian walked in placing folders in from of the elders.
The Elders opened up the folder, James didn't stop his attack verbally "as you can see all the evidence is here. did you even imagine that the person that three of the big families hurt the most would be the one that you all came bearing gifts?" James turned his sights to Maverick "Is this an appropriate enough gift?"
"Julian take the gifts and these contracts to my house, I will review them later. looks like this meeting is over" James stood up and walked out letting the other families to sort out their houses first.
In a dark room in an unknown place a man sat watching the computer screen clenching his fist and laughing at the same time as he was both angry and happy about that meeting, Stefan stood behind them. "The Young Master is quite remarkable, I'm suprised he didn't ask for 7% from each family to settle the score right then and there"
"That would cause more of a hassle, now those three families have a choice. since their own heads caused such an issue to their benefactor's son they can either think of a way to fix the situation or make more of a mess, James taking the contracts shows there is still a chance of redemption" he spoke in a hoarse voice.
"You may go Stefan, give him a grand award"
Stefan nodded, Dailing James on loudspeaker "Young Master, I just heard the news. You did a good job and about the deal you made with the Young Miss. I'm going to settle that on your behalf, and I heard that you got yourself another company. you have a one-thousandth of the assets you previously have. you really out doing yourself"
"Stefan, why don't I just use the money and enjoy the easy life"
"Don't be so rash, you would be pretty bored haha" Stefan remarked, continued to add "everything will be arranged when the Young Miss heads out of town"
Julian walked up letting James know about the issues with the other companies they investigated, James was already in a mood, so he went to the first one with an Auditor. having a meeting with the owner completing the transfers, the auditor began to go through everything thoroughly as the previous owner sent out the message of the change of owner.
On the other side of town Julian was purchasing the restaurant for sale, with the upmost respect. Soon as the documents was exchanged Julian brought in a few of his men as security guards. James sat in the Chairman's office getting familiar with the company's affairs while the auditor was going through the finances, "Sir, I only just started and already these files are way too fishy"
"That's what my people said as well, can we fix it and get to the bottom of the rot?" James asked
"Give me a day or two" the auditor said confidentially.
"Ok I'll leave it to you. also, I'll through in a good bonus for you. once you find evidence inform the police of the culprits"
James spent hours going through the files rubbing his temples out of frustration. sending a text to the other three telling them to meet at the new company tomorrow, the working day was coming to an end James walked out of the company stretching his back seeing a Rolls Royce parked and a muscular man standing beside the back door, the window rolled down it was the head of the Riley family "jump in, we should talk"
James didn't respond but accepted the gesture, sitting in the back of the car with them, "I am truly" James stopped Henry from talking stating "Don't bother with the apology"
"Ok, our family is going to give you 7% of our assets in compensation, for our actions in the past." Henry spoke sincerely
James pondered for a second and said, "come to my company at 11am and bring some of people to serve as witnesses to sign the contract"
"Why tomorrow, my driver can serve as a witness" Henry explained.
"Tomorrow is a big day" James knew he was just trying to get the contract over and done with and remove himself as soon as possible while getting a good amount of money.
The next day James went into the company again, meeting the auditor in the office. James saw the furious look on his face and sighed "if you have something to say then spit it out"
"You brought a bad investment; this whole company is rotten to the core."
James shook his head in disappointment "how much of rot is there?"
"Based on the estimation about 60%. in order to fix it will cost a huge amount."
Jake, Frank and Wendy walked through the door feeling the tense vibe "ok 3 things need to be done, call a board meeting and buy everyone out, file a lawsuit for every corrupt person in this company. sending all evidence to the police. and we use the evidence to force the other board members to sell their shares. Wendy, you find the most reliable people to replace those who get fired, line it all up for those you recruit replace those who gets fired at the same time"
seeing the confused look of everyone "This is going to be HQ for my companies so I'm sending a message that nothing will slide. also inform Julian that we need men to overlook the current projects and if there is a hint of any misuse of funds being spent have debt collects retrieve the funds"
"Isn't he just head of security?"
"If Charlotte is my right hand, then he is my left hand, Julian has the skills and ruthless enough to carry out my request"
