Chapter 29 - Home that Never Was

The guidelines were Satya's only lifeline in this Bizzare place.

........

So he knocked on the door three times and asked for a place to stay.

Perhaps looking at his sorry state, no answer came from the other side, as an acceptance of him spending the night.

Opening the door, Satya found a small corridor that stretched towards the end of the house.

The entire inside of the house was lit up by an unknown light source, it was as if the residents didn't like shadows, thus there weren't any shadows in the house.

Soon, Satya reached a place which could be called the bath room by the modern standard, there, a container the size of a tub was filled with clean water.

After washing his wounds and taking a bath full of recovery, Satya started exploring the house.

The odd thing about the house was that there weren't any residents, yet it was well maintained, just like a feeling of people living there.

There was no dust, no signs of Wear and tear.

Satya reached a place which seemed to be the dining room.

on the table, stood something that caused Satya to look twice.

A fresh plate of porridge and meat, smoke still rising from it just like freshly made food.

There was no one around, yet weirdly enough a chair was placed just a little behind, as if telling Satya where to sit and eat.

So Satya sat there and ate.

After a hearty meal, Satya reached the second floor of the house.

A door was slightly open there, looking inside, Satya saw a bed which looked like it was just made.

As Satya was peeking inside, Suddenly, The door burst open and Satya was pushed inside by something.

Once inside, the door behind Satya locked and it wouldn't open no matter what Satya did.

Satya could theoretically break open the door with his strength, but neither was he in the state to do so, nor his heart's foreboding allowed him.

So Satya decided to sleep there.

Finally after many days of wandering, Satya got a soft bed to sleep.

What had once seemed normal, was now looking like a luxury.

In the morning, while Satya was still sleeping, broken from the injuries.

The door burst open with a loud bang, Satya was startled awake by the sudden noise, yet injured as he was, he looked around and not finding anyone, he went back to sleep.

Perhaps not wanting the guest to overstay, the door was once again closed and forced open with loud bangs.

Satya once again looked around, not finding anyone and spooked by the turn of events, Satya decided leave.

As soon he sat on his bed, something caught the corner of his eyes,on the study table near the bed, Satya saw some clothes, which was odd because he hadn't sensed it with his shadow sense.

Looking closer, it is a complete white robe but something feels wrong about it because the second Satya takes his eyes off of it, he can't sense them.

Satya takes off his old clothes and puts on the white robe.

From the looks of it, it's a mix of assassin and mage robe with some black outlines and markings on it.

The black outlines give the robe a majestic look and something about these lines felt magical to Satya.

The instant Satya puts them on.

To the world, it feels as though his presence is suppressed.

To a person not looking directly, it would feel as though he isn't there.

"Pretty odd robe, but it is what it is"

Satya saying so, heads out the room and the door closes shut behind him.

While heading out, Satya finds a plate of food which is just made, it's different from the night.

After Eating the warm meal, though Satya was inclined to take some necessities.

In the end, he decides not to rob the house which had treated him so well.

By morning, Most of Satya's superficial wounds had healed and his body was working just fine even with broken bones.

Satya looks back at the house to find some symbols, which weren't there a second ago.

The transcript written in black blood which seems to absorb all light that approaches it.

The transcript was a language Satya knew to his heart.

It was [The Language of The Gods].

There were two distinct lines of word, on the door.

Satya read the first line,

[Antar kavach]

Satya read the words, they seemed to fade from the door.

No....

They weren't fading, they were moving.

As Satya realised that, he felt a sharp pain in his Head.

He felt many strange symbol being embedded in his head, just like the time when he first entered [First Ascension].

But Atleast this time the pain was bearable.

Focusing his eyes through the pain, he read the next line.

[Antar Shuddhi]

As soon as he read this line, his head erupted in pain so horrible that it couldn't be described with words.

Satya grabbed his head, closed his eyes and fell down to his knees.

But the pain didn't stop.

A pain of a part of his mind being destroyed and rebuilt slowly.

After some time when the pain finally subsided, Two words with a description below them were embedded in his mind forever.

Just like the forbidden runes hidden in the waterfall.

They were.....

[Antar Kavach],

[Antar Shuddhi].

After opening his eyes, Satya was terrified by the sight before him.

In front of him,

The house was gone.

The road still remained the same.

The Fog still remained the same.

Yet the house was gone.

As if it had never existed.

{Someone gave me a torch,

In the dead of the night.

Yet the second i pointed it,

To look at them,

They had become,

just another shadow of the night.}
