The tentacles continued pulling Hector into the vortex not minding all his screams and curses and then a minute later he was finally dragged into the vortex and everything in the forest returned back to how it was as if nothing had happened
After confirming that the tentacles took his bait,Leon finally stopped sprinting and rested his back on a tree.
"I am soory Hector but I can't allow myself to die in this place,I have a family while you have none and if I die all the people in this slum will suffer the consequences, so you see you are a hero" saying those words to suit himself,Leon picked himself up again and continued walking towards the slum settlement.

Just as the tentacle finished pulling him into the vortex it disappeared leaving Hector free of it hold
And immediately after that Hector felt himself falling.
'Am I falling, what the,why is the world always trying to kill me'
Looking down hector could see a land more like a forest with tall multicoloured leaf trees and mountains surrounding the forest.
By the second the land seemed to be moving closer and closer and when he could finally see the land clearly he saw a thin line cutting through the land at first then It continued to enlarge and enlarge and finally he could see a river flowing through the forest
'I will die from falling, never thought it would not be a human that will kill me considering my job'
As he got closer and closer to the water the force of the fall squeezed out air from his lungs making it hard for him to breath and plastered his tattered cloths to his skinny body.
And then finally the landing,as his fragile body slammed into the water it felt like he was suddenly smashed against a hard ground,causing his bone to break in many places so many he could not even count and next came his organs they felt like they would explode and the same time like they would get crushed too, added to the fact that he was now drowning, with the water taking away his ability to breath and see and his already fragile body going through that much pain Hector felt his life sliping out of his grasp again
And just at that moment something seemed to be approaching him,he couldn't see very well bit he could discern it's shape to be a fish,but only if he could see he would have seen a shark with a pointed horn on it's for head with tentacles coming out of it's gills on both side of his mouth and now one of those tentacles on slowly wrapping around his waist.
'Maybe this time just this time,I want to live,I promised that bastards knight that I would make him pay and all those foolish lords all of them,I have a debt of death to pay them,maybe then I can die,not now,not..now!'
Hector finally fell unconscious as the last of his strength seemed to slip out of his hand.
But just as the shark beast brought Hector closer to his mouth he suddenly felt a large amount of pressure hit it and looking at the source of that pressure it could see
Hector,with a black eyeball that looked to contain nothing but vast darkness and the space around him seem to become more darker and out from him dozens of shadow limbs seemed to emerge and hold onto the shark from all sides
The shark beast realizing a sense of dread coming from his proclaimed prey started struggling in a bod to escape his coming fate but it was too late as all the Shadow limbs pulled apart tearing the shark beast into bits of flesh
Just as the beast died small embers of light gathered into two embers of light and flowed towards the human who just slaughtered the beast and immediately seemed to get absorbed into the darkness of the human

Opening his eyes,Hector could see a blue sky and leaves from trees of large canopies
Sitting up he suddenly felt pain pulsate through out his body and that was when he took note of his breathing, he was finding it hard to breath and he couldn't even sit straight due to the overwhelming pain making him to return to his sleeping position
'Why is that I always seemed to feel pain everytime I reincarnate,or wait, I got pulled into a vortex,I fell and and and I died right come to think of it I am beside a river'
'Didn't that shark beast eat me,well no matter the situation I can't move yet so I will just sleep for now and find out later,'
Closing his eyes he tried cutting off any disturbance and concentrated on sleeping and then he felt a slight soothing sensation flowing through every vessel in his body trying to return his body to it's former glory though slowly
'What the,what is that'
As soon as he lost his concentration the feeling stoped.
'I am healing'
Focusing on concentrating again he felt the feeling coming back. Cutting out everything and focusing on that feeling he caught a small dim light in one of the area closer to his stomach,holding on to that light he traced it to a large circular structure made of thin dimmly-lighted membrane at the base of his stomach just below his belly button and in that structure was a little bit of dark particle flowing in and out of it of the membrane, reaching out to the dark particles he could feel the circulation of the soothing feeling flow faster.
Focusing on that feeling for some few more minutes and trying his best to help in the flow of the particles before the dark particles finally got exhausted,he then opened his eyes.
Trying to raise his hand up and to his surprise he was able to lift it up though he still felt pain he could feel that he had gotten better a little
Now finally sitting up he discovered that he was naked maybe the pain he felt before didn't even let him realize that he was naked but now he was good enough to be able to sit.
Looking around and surveying his environment he concluded that he was still in the world the tentacles had pulled him into,considering the high mountains he saw the large multicolored leaf trees and the river he was currently sitting by it's shore.
Standing up he went around the shores of the river and also towards the tree he was sitting under gathering leafs and sea weeds to produce a makeshift cloth for himself.
He then went to the river got some water to drink to which the water was surprisingly clean and sweet and next came food .
Staring at the large,juicy fruits on the trees and even if they were of different colours they still felt tantalizing but he wouldn't die from good poisoning not after all he went through.
Only if Hector knew he was now a mage and cheap food poisons couldn't kill him and added to the fact that he was now more muscular or rather that he had added a little more flesh betraying the image of the fragile boy he was some days ago.
Finally settling to catching some fish for dinner and after that he sat at the beach again staring into the sky before he decide to take a peek into the membrane in his stomach again
'It seemed I have awakened an ability as this seemed to be what those webnovels he had stumbled upon would call a core or something, but what ability have I awakened,of what level is it and according to leon,there are classes to this mage stuff so what stage would I be '
So many questions but unfortunately no one to answer his poor self.
'I will just have to find out my self'
And with that he fell asleep.
The next morning Hector woke up and checking his magic core again and this time there was a little bit of dark particles flowing in them.
'It's time to know what I am capable of'
Slowly cocentrating on the dark particle he slowly got a hold of it and slowly started spreading it around his body starting from his stomach region and also taking note of all the changes in his body and environment, this was a very hard process which he could not get a hold of even after several attempts.
Resting for a while to let his core to gain some essence again he went fishing again and had a meal of fish again for breakfast, this time finally summoning the courage to harvest and take a bite of the fruits but that was a big mistake he made as immediately he took the third bite out of the blue perfectly round fruit he had fetched from the tree closest to him,a hot sensation suddenly flowed through all the muscles in his body paralyzing him on the spot
Realizing how quickly the poisonous fruit was killing him,Hector immediately sat down and cutting off all the feeling and sensation of pain coming from his body he reached out to the essence in his core and with that he circulated it to the muscles in his stomach aiding the essence circulate itself through out his body,battling and suppressing the poison
When the poison was finally suppressed Hector opened his eyes and then he saw it,his own shadow an long with the shadow of the tree seemed to be moving towards him in a strange pattern of movements, with his shadow already wrapping around him
It took Hector to finally realize a large serpent like beast that was slowly crawling towards him
Standing up and clenching his fist tightly,with a wide grin he screamed
"You found a very wrong time to hunt,Mr beast,well it's okay,you will be my little test subject"
