(AMARI'S POV)
There was no need to struggle. I knew that well, but I had to try. My efforts were useless. I couldn't make any movement being in the grip of those large men.
"Take her away! Lock her up now!" Neoma commanded and I was being carried away.
My heart drummed helplessly in my chest. I couldn't help but wonder what would happen to Rudina. What would they do to her?
I was at the door, my mouth covered so that I couldn't make any sounds, but the man's hand was so large that it practically covered my whole face too. I could still hear Vanessa's cries from inside.
"What's going on here?" A familiar cracked voice said.
"We have been asked by the gamma to lock up this prisoner." The man holding me said.
"What rubbish. This is the Alpha's wife. Put her down immediately."
There was no arguing. I was immediately placed on the ground and the hand removed. The old woman in a wheelchair, with sleek grey hair, was staring up at me.
"I'm sorry about that. Again." She said.
