Harrison's fingers slowly loosened their grip on Sarah's shirt. He stepped back, his face completely pale as his mind spun from the words she had just dropped. He looked down at his large hands, then back at Sarah, who was still trembling against the wall, gasping for breath.
The silence in the small room was thick, broken only by Arthur's weak, uneven breathing on the bench.
"Daniel," Harrison said, his voice dropping into a low, flat tone that sounded entirely empty. "Lock them up. Do not let anyone down here until I tell you to."
"I am on it, Boss," Daniel replied quickly, his own face serious from the shock of the news.
Harrison did not wait. He turned around and walked straight out of the cell, his massive frame moving past the iron doorway without another word. Julius followed him closely, his heart hammering against his ribs as they walked up the dark stairs, leaving the cold basement level behind them.
