The air grew much colder as Harrison and Julius walked down the stairs leading to the lowest level of the building.
The hallway down here was dark, lit only by a few plain bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Daniel walked a few steps ahead of them, his keys rattling in his hand as he guided them toward the secure holding area at the very end of the passage.
"They are both inside," Daniel said, stopping in front of a thick iron door.
He looked back at Harrison, his face serious. "We did exactly what you asked, Boss. We moved Sarah from her separate area and threw her right into the main cell with Arthur. She has been in there with him for the last twenty minutes."
"Good," Harrison said, his voice flat and calm. "Open it."
Daniel unlocked the door and pushed it open with a loud sound.
The cell was a small, square room with bare walls and a single metal bench against the side. Arthur was slumped on the bench, his body shivering uncontrollably.
