"Where is Kai?" Anna asked, turning to Ray. "Where is he?"
Ray grabbed her arm, holding her in place. "Anna you need to rest. You're still healing. Kai is fine, whenever you're out of here, you can go meet him."
Anna shook her head, trying to stand out from the bed. She'd barely taken two steps before a sharp pain shot through her body, causing her to wince and fall back into the bed. Ray caught her, gently lowering her back to the soft mattress.
"What's the matter?" He asked, his brows furrowed with worry.
Anna shook her head. She couldn't speak. She couldn't even know how to start explaining it to Ray.
She kept seeing the screen of Ray's affinity flashing red.
