Lord Cassius arrived at the hospital an hour later. He was led through the halls to Anna's ward. But the moment he stepped foot into the room, Ray lunged an offensive.
Ray was swift, silent, much so that Lord Cassius who was trained in combat wasn't able to spot him till the sharp end of Ray's wing was pressed dangerously close to his carotid.
"Move, and you'll bleed out on this floor before they find you." Ray hissed, his voice menacing. The aura that rolled out of him was dark and oppressive, with a thick, heavy feeling. It was an alien feeling, one that came from years of perfectly honed bloodlust.
Lord Cassius chuckled. "You're from House Darkvale," he said, his body relaxed even though he was seconds from death.
Ray, hearing his last name, bristled. His teeth clenched, his fangs lengthening and cutting into his lower lip. "Keep that name out of your mouth, Laisrenn."
