After the long session of teasing, laughing, and exposing everyone's secrets during truth and dare...
We were finally going back to our normal lives.
Or at least trying to.
Right now, we were on the yacht, finally heading back home. The island adventure that was supposed to be a simple trip turned into something straight out of a movie.
And somehow...
After staying awake almost the entire night playing truth and dare, all the boys still had unlimited energy.
I genuinely don't understand where they get it from.
Felix was still laughing about some stupid thing Drew said, Ci N was arguing with Calix about something random, David and Yuri were talking, and Keifer...
Well.
Keifer was being Keifer.
Annoying.
Smiling.
And somehow still having enough energy to irritate me.
Meanwhile, I was dying.
I was tired.
My eyes were literally closing on their own.
I was just about to sleep when suddenly...
"Jay."
I looked up.
Keifer was standing there with something in his hand.
My phone.
My eyes immediately widened.
"My phone!"
He raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, your precious little life support device."
I quickly took it from him.
"Finally."
Three days.
Three whole days without internet.
I honestly never thought I would survive.
No messages.
No scrolling.
No random videos.
No annoying notifications.
Nothing.
But surprisingly...
I survived.
Mostly because Keifer was always there to annoy me every second so I wouldn't get bored.
And as much as I hate admitting it...
I actually enjoyed it.
I smiled slightly.
Then my smile disappeared.
Because suddenly I remembered something.
My phone.
The messages.
I was actually scared to open it.
Because I already knew what was waiting.
Probably hundreds of messages from Kuya Angelo, Percy, and Jason.
Probably all of them panicking because my 18th birthday was coming closer.
And because of Victoria.
My so-called aunt.
The woman who killed my parents.
Her own brother and his wife.
Just for money.
For inheritance.
She was heartless.
And if she could kill her own family...
Killing me wouldn't be difficult.
I looked around the yacht.
Everyone was here.
Ci N.
Felix.
Calix.
David.
Yuri.
Everyone from Section E.
And...
Keifer.
My Keifer.
He had already gone through so much because of his own father.
I didn't want him dragged into my family problems.
I didn't want him getting hurt because of me.
Taking a deep breath, I finally opened my messages.
And immediately...
My phone exploded.
Hundreds of notifications.
First...
Kuya Angelo.
I opened his message.
Angelo:
"Jasper Jean Mariano. Where are you?"
"It's evening and you're not even home."
"Do you even realize how worried everyone is?"
"Are you with that bastard Keifer?"
"I swear, the moment I see him, I'm going to ask him why he thought taking my sister away without telling anyone was a good idea."
"Jay, this isn't funny. Your birthday is close. You know what's happening. You know Victoria is dangerous."
"You can't just disappear like this and expect us not to panic."
"Call me. Right now."
I sighed.
Of course.
Classic Kuya Angelo.
Angry first.
Worried later.
Then I opened Percy's message.
Percy:
"Baby sista, where are you?"
"Please tell me you're safe."
"I just found out you're with Keifer."
"Look, sister, I have no plans of ruining your romantic fantasy or whatever Wattpad story you're living right now..."
"But your birthday is near and your life is in danger."
"You and Keifer being alone for this long isn't exactly safe."
"Jay, come back for now."
"You can continue your dramatic enemies-to-lovers story with him later."
"Please just come home."
I couldn't help but smile slightly.
Only Percy could worry about my safety and roast me in the same message.
Then Jason.
Jason:
"Godd darling..."
"I leave for some work and I come back to find out you're with him?"
"I hope you're safe."
"I heard Victoria is planning something."
"It's not safe right now."
"Please come back. We can figure everything out together."
"Don't handle this alone."
There were so many more messages.
And finally...
Mia.
Mia:
"GOD JAYYY."
"I just found out you're on a private unknown island with your boyfriend??"
"Girl, are you seriously living a Wattpad coded life right now?"
"But don't you dare forgive him easily."
"Take at least a month, you idiot."
"I know you're a fool in love."
"Make him suffer."
"Make him earn every single piece of affection."
"Especially kisses."
"Jay, jokes aside, please be safe."
"Percy was so worried about you."
I stared at my phone.
For some reason...
I felt a painful guilt.
I thought they would be angry.
But they weren't.
They were scared.
They were worried.
They cared.
I should have contacted them.
I should have told them I was okay.
And more importantly...
I shouldn't have brought Keifer into this.
This wasn't just my danger anymore.
I quickly opened my location.
"I'll just send them my location and call them..."
But before I could press send—
"JAY!"
Suddenly, someone jumped on me.
"Keifer!"
I didn't even have time to react.
We both lost balance and fell onto the floor of the yacht.
"What the—"
BOOM.
A sound interrupted me.
Then another.
And another.
My smile disappeared.
Gunshots.
A lot of them.
Everyone froze.
The peaceful atmosphere vanished instantly.
Keifer's expression changed completely.
The playful boy disappeared.
The serious Keifer came out.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him.
"Everyone down!"
The sound of bullets continued.
The yacht shook.
Keifer quickly moved me towards the side where everyone else was hiding.
But it was useless.
There were more than four boats surrounding us.
Moving in a circle around our yacht.
Attacking.
"What's happening?" Ci N shouted.
Keifer looked outside.
"The backup is coming."
He grabbed a box.
"But until then..."
He opened it.
Inside were guns.
My eyes widened.
"We defend ourselves."
He took one.
And immediately started firing.
Everyone else moved.
Yuri ran towards us from the other side of the yatch to get the gun.
And then...
I saw him.
A man standing behind Keifer on one of the boats.
Aiming directly at him.
At Keifer.
My brain didn't even process.
My body moved before I could think.
I grabbed the gun.
And fired.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Five bullets.
Five men.
They fell unconscious on their boat.
Silence.
For a second...
Everyone stared at me.
Pure shock.
Disbelief.
Even Keifer turned towards me.
His eyes widened.
With somthing i cannot name
Shock... amazement?
Like he was seeing me for the first time.
But there was no time.
The attack was still happening.
He looked away and started firing again.
Yuri came running towards me, took the empty gun from my hand, refilled it, and immediately started shooting.
Then suddenly...
More boats appeared.
Eight...
Ten...
Coming from the distance.
But this time...
They weren't attacking us.
They were attacking the attackers.
Backup.
The fight wasn't over.
But we weren't alone anymore.
And standing there...
With everyone staring at me like they had just discovered a completely different side of me...
I realized one thing.
The innocent, sleepy Jay everyone knew...
Was never the whole story.

Guys I'm really disappointed from viva..like really they can make new series...make season 2 of other series? But what about our amnse...we all have waited so patiently...just to get nothing? Like not even a update of rescheduling or why are they not including amnse or ashdres in their fan meets....they are forgetting that viva is family because of amnse and VIVA IS NOTHING WITHOUT AMNSE AND ASHDRES
