Jay POV
The night on the island felt unreal.
The sky was clear, full of stars, and the only sound around us was the ocean waves and the crackling bonfire in front of us.
All of us were sitting around the fire.
The boys had brought blankets and snacks, making the whole thing feel less like being stranded on an island and more like some weird vacation.
Keifer was sitting beside me, occasionally throwing small pieces of wood into the fire while pretending he wasn't listening to everyone's conversations.
He was.
Obviously.
Ci N, however, was dying of boredom.
He looked around dramatically.
"I cannot believe we came to a beautiful island and we are just sitting."
Drew raised an eyebrow.
"What do you want to do? Fight the ocean?"
Ci N thought about it.
"...not a bad idea."
Everyone stared.
"No."
"Absolutely not."
"Please don't."
Ci N sighed.
"Fine. Then we play a game."
"What game?" Felix asked.
"Truth or dare."
The entire group immediately reacted.
"Oh no."
"That's dangerous."
"Especially with Ci N."
Ci N smiled proudly.
"And if someone refuses..."
He pulled out a weird-looking bottle.
Everyone stared.
"What is that?"
"My mystery potion."
Silence.
"It smells horrible," Yuri said after sniffing it.
"It has everything."
"That is not comforting."
"Exactly."
I looked at the bottle suspiciously.
"You're evil."
"Thank you."
And so the chaos began.

Round 1: Ci N
Felix smirked.
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Who is the most annoying person here?"
Ci N immediately pointed at me.
"Jay."
I gasped.
"Excuse me?"
"See? Annoying."
Everyone laughed.

Round 2: Felix
"Dare."
Ci N grinned.
"I dare you to give a dramatic love confession to a tree."
Felix stared.
"A tree?"
"Yes."
Five minutes later Felix was standing in front of a tree.
"Oh beautiful tree... your branches remind me of my struggles..."
Everyone was crying laughing.

Round 3: Drew
"Truth."
Rory asked,
"Who was your first impression of Jay?"
Drew thought.
"Honestly?"
Everyone leaned closer.
"That she was scary."
I looked offended.
"Scary?"
"You walked into class like you owned the place."
"I did not."
"You did."

Round 4: Eren
"Dare."
Josh smiled.
"I dare you to act like the main character for one minute."
Eren immediately stood up.
"The world has chosen me."
Everyone started laughing.

Round 5: Calix
"Truth."
Yuri asked,
"Who here would survive the longest alone on an island?"
Calix looked around.
"Keifer."
Everyone looked surprised.
"Why?"
"Because he already survives Jay."
The whole group exploded.
Even Keifer laughed.
I hit Calix with a pillow.

Then finally...
Ci N looked at me.
The evil smile appeared.
"Jay."
Everyone immediately got excited.
"No."
"YES."
"Truth or dare?"
I narrowed my eyes.
"Truth."
The boys exchanged looks.
Oh no.
Ci N leaned forward.
"Who was your first crush in Section E?"
The fire crackled.
I immediately looked away.
"No."
Everyone started cheering.
"ANSWER."
"COME ON."
"WE NEED TO KNOW."
I stood up.
"I'm getting the potion."
The second I reached for the bottle—
Keifer caught my hand.
I looked at him.
"Keifer."
"Answer."
"You want me to drink that?"
He looked at the potion.
"Actually..."
"Exactly."
I narrowed my eyes.
"Traitor."
He smiled.
"Answer, sunshine."
I sighed.
Everyone was waiting.
"...Yuri."
Silence.
Then chaos.
"WHAT?"
"YURI?"
Yuri froze.
"I—"
I quickly explained.
"Not like that!"
Everyone laughed.
"When I first came to Section E, everyone was annoying."
"HEY."
"You all were."
"Fair."
"But Yuri was the easiest to talk to. He didn't make things awkward, and after some time I felt comfortable around him."
I smiled slightly.
"He was just easy to be around."
Everyone nodded.
Except Keifer.
Because his expression changed.
A little too quiet.
A little too annoyed.
I noticed.
And I almost smiled.
Oh.
He was jealous.
Ci N noticed too.
"OHHHH."
Keifer looked at him.
"Don't."
"You are jealous."
"I'm not."
"You are."
"I'm literally sitting here."
"With jealousy."
Keifer rolled his eyes.
I tried not to laugh.
Then Drew suddenly spoke.
"Okay next question."
I immediately became suspicious.
"What?"
He looked between me and Keifer.
"So..."
"No."
"Have you two..."
Everyone went quiet.
I knew exactly what he meant.
My face heated.
"Don't finish that sentence."
Ci N grinned.
"Did you guys do... you know."
Keifer immediately looked amused.
I covered my face.
"Why are you all like this?"
"Because we're curious."
"Because you're obvious."
"Because he looks at you like you're the last person on earth."
Keifer cleared his throat.
"Can we move on?"
Everyone laughed.
Then it was Keifer's turn.
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
Ci N smiled.
"Easy."
He looked at Keifer.
"When did you realize you loved Jay?"
The teasing disappeared.
For a moment, Keifer just looked at me.
Then he smiled softly.
"I don't think there was one exact moment."
Everyone became quiet.
"It was small things."
His eyes stayed on mine.
"The way she acted like she didn't care but always cared."
My heart slowed.
"The way she annoyed me and somehow became the person I looked for first."
The fire reflected in his eyes.
"The way she made normal days feel different."
He smiled.
"I realized I loved Jay when I stopped thinking about how much trouble she was..."
Everyone laughed quietly.
"...and started thinking about how empty everything would feel without her."
Silence.
Then Ci N whispered,
"Okay that was actually good."
Drew nodded.
"Annoyingly good."
Felix sighed.
"Now everyone has standards."
I looked away because my face was definitely red.
Keifer noticed.
Of course he did.
He leaned slightly closer.
"Blushing again?"
I whispered.
"Shut up."
His smile grew.
And the boys immediately started yelling.
"THEY'RE FLIRTING AGAIN."
"EVERYONE LOOK AWAY."
"NO, THIS IS ENTERTAINMENT."
The night continued with laughter.
And for once...
I didn't feel like I had to worry about tomorrow.
