Armin strangled the unconscious Neo like he wanted to kill him. Yet, the other Neo did not struggle back. He could only lie there, lifeless.
Neo watched the scene in horror. He couldn't go over to stop Armin from killing him. He couldn't even yell. It had already happened.
Neo didn't know how to feel as Armin strangled his other self for what seemed to be a long time before he released him and pulled his hands away, leaving red handprints on his throat.
"I'm sorry." Armin began to apologize. "I'm so sorry." Armin laid his head against Neo's chest as he apologized.
"I didn't mean to…" He held Neo's limp hand and placed it against his cheek. "Forgive me."
The other Neo didn't have the ability to respond or even realize what was happening to him. Armin was met with silence.
A cold, piercing silence that he refused to get used to which was why it was easy for him to get hurt by it every time.
