Neo frowned. He didn't need to be told about it. It was common information to everyone, especially for omegas in powerful positions.
"Neo…" His mother called out to him softly. "Syncing has nothing to do with submission. Syncing is acknowledging your partner. And it goes both ways."
Neo cocked his head to one side.
"And it goes both ways too," she continued. "Accepting your partner and acknowledging them is not a one way thing. Both parties are responsible for syncing and no one is above the other in the relationship. In all relationships in fact."
"That's not true," Neo objected. "That's not true at all. Everyone looks down on omegas and Alphas are always the ones at the top. It is expected of an omega to—"
"There's no set expectation for omegas. At least there shouldn't be." His mother stopped him. "No one can force a sync bond. No one is above a sync bond. It's becoming one. But that doesn't mean that you'll lose yourself."
