Claire's POV
"Let's not go yet." I told Louis. We were now in the car, heading back to my house. Much to Louis chagrin. He tried to convince me to go to his place. I had to refuse.
I could already picture all the filthy things that he'd do to me and this time I couldn't be sure if I'd be able to make it back home in one piece.
I'm the short time that we took walking down to the car, with Louis carrying bag upon bags of supplements, I'd gone over his proposal to go on a trip.
He still refused to tell me where. He claimed it was a surprise and that I just needed to say yes.
I couldn't go on the trip. Not yet. Not because I didn't want to. I mean, I'd have to be dumb to refuse a trip, a little mini vacation.
But, it just wasn't time yet.
"What… why?" he asked, turning toward me over the center console, genuine curiosity written all over his face. "Why can't we go now?"
"I have that school reunion thing coming up, and I already promised I'd be there."
"Do you have to?"
