His face came to realization as he noticed he had ended every source of life near him. Rather than pondering, he simply checked his body and surprisingly found no scratch.
Bodies of nothing lay around him with 70% their body parts missing or some their entire parts erased. White blood filled the ground like spilled milk and a young child with chocolate skin and hair like the night watched in anxiousness.
Moonlight lowered his height. His hands reached for the white liquid and he felt it. He tilted his head slightly to the left and then to the right.
Isn't this blood? Why do they always react strangely to it?
Moonlight pulled his hand closely and licked it.
"It's bland and…more liquid than water." He spoke.
In his head, a screw had been loose as it was not normal for one to lick someone else blood. It's for the test!
He turned to the battlefield again and muttered, "Great Uncle did say that child Adna's are stronger than average."
"Not that I know how strong the average of this time is, hmm…"
He stood up and took a soft breath.
While Moonlight steadied his gaze towards the piercing light, around him things began to change for better or for worse. The dead monsters began to fade slowly as they turned to dust to be blown away by the nearing breeze.
"M-Mo-Moo"
Moonlight heard a voice. He turned to the source.
Monster two whom had its left hand shattered by Moonlight used its other to point at Moonlight. It legs were shaking visibly, eyes opened wide and its mouth shivered. "….Mo-mo-monster!"
It screamed.
Moonlight was puzzled. "I believe a monster is one that has weird features on its body that seems out of this world. And besides, did you just speak?"
Monster two did not watch, it took to its heels and ran, dodging trees faster than ever.
Moonlight was pondering on the situation but chose to pursue monster two.
The moment Moonlight moved, he was already there. Even Moonlight was shocked by this but chose to ignore and go with the flow.
He stretched his hands towards Monster two back. But,
!
He noticed a stone hurling his way and shifted back.
Just by looking, he discovered the location of the attacker from the trajectory of the stone. It was another of Monster two members and it sat on a tree.
Moonlight reached the root of the tree and uprooted it. He threw it at the location of Monster two; which in turn caused a tiny earthquake in the land, therefore, crushing both monster two and the attacking monster.
And when Moonlight stopped moving, the stone that was thrown at him hit the ground with great force.
With the settlement of the battle, Moonlight stared at his palm.
Adna's are dangerous.
"Hmmm"
With a hum, he moved.
The forest had already been cleared up by him unknowingly. The battle led to a great felling of trees. Moonlight eyes narrowed slowly, to the environment, and to the unchanging evening sky.
It still glowed, bright red and the sun still was not ready to move and let the moon take over for the time being.
"I would have said that time is not moving at all, but that was not where the sun originally was. It moved, at least some meters."
"It's time moving slowly."
That was the conclusion he reached and that seemed to be the truth.
"No no." He shrugged the thought off. "It is possible but…."
Moonlight faced backwards at the monster slaughter and after some seconds, he turned back to his original goal, the light.
He moved for a long distance and complained quietly about how wide this forest is. His mind laments on the topic perspective as his senses are telling him the light is still far and the world telling him it is near.
"Perspective…"
Feeling bored, he moves to another topic, recalling each and every contents of the book he has ever consumed, saying them aloud for the forest to hear.
"And when the saint created all, she gave humans rules; survive, adapt, evolve and explore…"
"No matter what you do, never disturb the Adna's. They are…"
He paused.
"Come to think of it, what if the reason the saint said that is because of this?"
He faced back, then, swallowed his own spit. This made a cute sound depending on who's listening.
Moonlight quit the questions as it caused an unnecessary headache. So, he went back to his memory recall. He began speaking words, after words, some made no complete sense while some did. If anyone listened he'd feel like someone who crammed all this into his brain.
The peace reigned and the boredom slipped slowly through his head and was now affecting his mental state. Where is Cloud?
!
Fortunately, just when he was about to run mad he noticed something that caught his attention.
ROOOOWLLLLL!!!!
