Moonlight could only stand and observe, unsure of what to do. If he had ran, he would not be met with this. But no, he stayed and let his desire overshadow his instinct.
He placed his left leg backwards, creating a certain posture. His eyes narrowed side-ways for obvious reasons.
Now was not the time to think but to react and somehow, his entire presence shifted, from a cautious entity to an observant one in matter of seconds.
He inhaled and exhaled, glancing at his unmoving so-called enemies.

That was the sound that marked two things; the death of the monster of the lake and the beginning of a new battle for these fluffy creatures.
One of them scratched the ground using their hooves and those around dispersed into the forest. Moonlight could see one lifting the smaller ones away from that area but felt the need to stay here and watch.

Imaginary sweat drooled down his face as his eyes continued a search he had no idea what he was looking for.
KKKKKKKKKRRRRRHRHHRHH!!!!
With a loud certain voice, the only visible member lunged at Moonlight.
Tiny beats came from the ground as he moved. On getting closer to Moonlight, he leaped high and roared again before smashing the area Moonlight stood with great force.
Moonlight dodged to the left.
The monster followed.
Moonlight dodged again.
The monster tripped at a fallen log of a certain tree but regained his consciousness after a slight tilt of his head.
It growled and this time, it was solely focused on Moonlight.
Moonlight had no idea what was happening but just went with the flow until he felt something behind.
He raises his right hand swiftly.
Another of that monster hands were caught in Moonlight's grip. This let Moonlight to see it clearly, "Three fingers, wow!"
Monster one retorted again, attacking at an incredible speed than before. But Moonlight dodged again and held the other's hand with a strong grip.
"And Hahahahah…."
He laughed as he caused a collision between their hands. The impact of the force created a shockwave that broke their entire arm. His grey shirt still felt it but Moonlight didn't.
The Monsters leaped back, their other arms trying to feel the other.
The feeling of their eyes changed as their offensive aura dissipated and reverted to defensive.
They faced each other and leaped to the branch of a nearby tree, therefore, causing a very unsettling rustle of leaves.
Moonlight was still laughing.
Then, he stopped. "Wonder what made Cloud cackle that much?"
The creatures screamed again.

With that, from nowhere, Moonlight realized. He's surrounded by one, two….twenty, even more.
In a swift, Moonlight faces up and he makes his first reaction; a shock. How did they—
Time waited for no man and Moonlight was one of them. They threw themselves at him from above in a fierce style but they made no sound at all. This threw Moonlight off guard for a sec.
But, somehow, he dodged all, parried some and hurled at some to some random faraway tree.
With each movement, tiny shockwaves formed on Moonlight palm which in turn he used in tearing some apart as his hands connected with their body still kept in potential energy.
Moonlight expression changed, "It's enough!"
In a swift move, everything within his range received life-threatening damage instantly as all their bodies splattered into nothing.
Then, Moonlight stopped and looked at the battlefield he ended.
"What did I do?"
