Kael's POV
What the hell was she doing here?
A bright smile was plastered across Laura's face as she stoof along the hallway, as though nothing had happened. She immediately walked toward Riven and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, which he returned without hesitation. The sight only made my irritation worse.
A few seconds later, she turned toward me and attempted the same thing, but I remained rooted to my spot with my arms folded across my chest.
The smile on her face faltered slightly.
Good. She had noticed my reaction. Q
How could she possibly act as though everything was normal after what she had tried to pull?
I had figured it out eventually, even with the way Tori had desperately tried to protect her and keep the truth from me. Tori might have thought she was doing the right thing by hiding it, but I was not stupid.
The pieces had eventually fallen into place, and once they did, there was no way I could look at Laura the same way again.
