Chapter 32 - LOCKED BEHIND BARS

It wasn't longer an assumption neither is it an illusion.

It was real! It happening.

The iron bar claps the moment he was thrown into the cell.

The heavy large padlock at the iron bar made him realize this wasn't some sought of prank or joke.

The king and Isla meant real business.

He stares vigorously at the four wall of the cell and slowly sat on the floor, resting his back beside the wall.

Shouldn't he be in grieve. Perhaps some stream of tears should pacify his soft cheek but there was none. His eyes were dry and empty.

He wasn't sure if the decision he took was right but making them made his mind at peace.

It better to be an angel of Doom than a devil in disguise.

He wasn't certain why he seems to be holding back. He could shut the cell door open if he wanted to. But such thought never swam down his mind.

Jay was in the middle of this thoughts when his hearing ability ringed him an alarm.

He moved closer to the cell door and positioned his ear forward, concentrating with full focus.

Yes! He could hear footsteps. Five men and a lady.

They were making approach proceeding into his room.

Search everywhere, every nooks and crannies, the lady said.

Make sure you find the trident, Isla instructed the men.

Jay eyes clocked wide. The last statement wasn't anything to be happy about.

If accidentally the trident got spotted in his room, it all over.

He had to display some action.

Isla setting her eyes on the trident would be more disastrous than an actual sword battle.

Jay instantly closed his eye. He focused more on his mind and flashed them open.

He gained immediate entrance into his inevitable god mode.

His eye ball shone bright, sparkling like the morning sun.

He invoked the trident, beckoning it to vanish out of the room. The trident could hear it.

It could feel the magical presence of Marcel.

Isla ordered the guards to flip open the bed. The man lifted the bed and flipped it over.

Alas! It was empty. Jay had conquered, leading one step ahead.

The trident was gone. Isla eyes baffled in outmost confusion.

Of course! She got the signal light. The "RING OF TRUTH" had led her all the way here.

The mysterious ring was literally a self functioning tool, serving more as a compass of direction.

The ring indication light suddenly turned off.

That was strange. Does that mean the trident wasn't longer around the palace vicinity.

Just few minutes ago, she could bet her life and brag about the trident transparency.

But things have flipped and turned a dice. Something was fishy. She could smell a rat.

She knew so well about the mystical tale and power of the ancient trident.

The trident had no max power, command or authority of it own.

It only bows and obey whoever it chooses. Isla stormed into her private chamber, calculating if the odds were slim or thick. Where on earth could the trident be.

Could Jay be involved in this? He is currently locked behind bars awaiting interrogation.

His fingers are crossed. There is possibly no way on earth he would possess such massive ability.

Conjuring the trident behind lock bars? That not even possible! Isla ruined her plot in under estimation.

The night was cold and lonely. The heavy breeze from the window outlet was no joke.

Jay felt like an abandoned chick. Staring hard at the four walls of the cell got I'm very annoying.

He couldn't believe the reality life threw at him.

Been locked in a confinement safely guarded by huge muscular guards.

Oh! he really missed his special comics book.

He had a comic he was yet to complete but he doubt if he would ever witness the latter end of the book.

Isla must be laughing right now. She must be feeling like the almighty morgana.

If eventually the investigation turns out in her favor, that will be yet another medal added to her list of trophies.

"Jay" a voice popped out from behind the bar.

It was Hannah. Jay ran towards the iron bar, looking so surprise by her presence.

Hannah, he called in astonishment.

How did you got here? You mustn't be seen talking with me.

it not safe for you, Jay said wiping off the sweaty part of his forehead.

You must be famished Hannah said. I brought you something to feed on.

And about how I got here, I'm still a princess remember?

Jay smiled at her funny words.

So you bribed the guards, he supposedly said, trying to make a joke out of the situation.

Hannah smiled at his words. Maybe a little, she replied.

Im sorry Jay, I'm so sorry about what you are going through.

Cmon Hannah, there's nothing to be worried about.

I brought the mess and should be the one to clean it up.

Jay stared at her eyeball for quite some seconds, wondering if she has the slightest knowledge of who he was.

Aint you going to ask me about the trident.

You should be curious to know, Jay said sounding expectant.

Hannah drew his hand closer, clicking them together with hers.

Your fragrance and presence is all I worship. It all about you "Jay"

Neither my father, brother, sister or mother. It all about you, her thin voice leaked out sweet words. Thanks Hannah, Jay said in complement.

The thing is, he began. I have a shocking revelation which I think you should know of.

What is it Jay, I'm all ears. Jay slowly cleared his throat and stared right at her face.

What I'm about to unveil happens to be my darkest ever secret.

A piece of secret only my fathers knows about. I can do things Hannah.

Things far beyond human comprehension.

He ventured into Hannah eyes hoping to see a strange reaction but there was none.

Im aware Jay, I know you have magic.

W…h…at, you knew!

Hannah nodded in mid smile. How did you find out, Jay curiously asked.

That night, at the basement. I was there watching you.

I saw everything! The shining trident, your glowing eyes even the moment you disappeared into thin air. I saw it all.

Jay was taking aback, he couldn't believe his eyes.

So Hannah knew about him all along.

He never would have imagined that. Aren't you scared of me or probably get me reported.

Jay asked in assumption.

Hannah sniffed a soft laughter.

She knew Jay fear but she wasn't that kind of person.

Why would I? Honestly, I was a bit scared when I found out about you.

I could remember freaking out and locking myself inside the room.

I just couldn't see myself exposing you. You are one hell of a good man and I believe this abilities of yours came for a greater cause.

Im also promising to be their whenever you need me.

What a girl, Jay thought. "Her words"

They were everything he craved and needed. Thank you Hannah, I mean it.

Thanks a lot. You're not welcome, Hannah shipped out jokingly.

Im going to face investigation tomorrow.

Hannah rubbed her finger on his, making him feel at peace.

Stay cool and hang in there.
