After much deliberation, Jay resumed work at the palace. The king has chosen im as prince Luther royal servant who's in charge of tidying his room, clean his cloths and armors and run errand when required. Once again, Jay never loved the idea. He hated it! Why were they always intoxicating him with those cheap and inferior jobs. Were they trying to treat him as a low country boy?
For goodness sake, he was no longer a pauper and would turn seventeen in few months to come. Cole had promised and ensured him to be patient and look unto the bright side.
He further stressed, that the only reason he bought the idea was a result of the unending persistency displayed by the king.
Jay had agreed and corporate but he did so not because of Cole reasons nor the king order but rather because the trident wanted him there and was beckoning on him. The reason behind this was still a mystery to him. A hidden revelation he had to unleash quick and fast. Jay needed no extravagant introduction on his arrival to the palace.
He was popularly and famously known as the young teenage who saved the great kingdom of Albion from destruction. The king heart gladdens at the sight of Jay. He was welcomed with much show of love and enthusiasm. The king at once summoned him to join the royal family at the dining table but the latter was shy. He felt inferior. His feet trembled but they did with lot of caution.
Sit kid, the king voice warmly said. Feel free to dine with us, he further stressed. Jay nervously sat on the golden chair, feeling like a trash in the garbage. His sight were down the whole time. He buried his head lower, staring at the large table like a man who found his long lost lover and became too overwhelmed. That was the genesis of Jay journey into the palace.
Now, he had to adapt to palace life. Rationally, Jay hardly sleeps at night so waking up won't be a bag of problem for him. He would wake up as early as the first cock crow, tidying up the prince chamber and vicinity, as well as carrying out all duties assigned to him. "He needed no one to tell him". He hated the job! He never wanted it in the first place. But what could he do?
His hands were tied by the circumstances warranting his stay. The most annoying part of all was prince Luther. That dude was typically a pain in the ass. Was it the effect of the royal blood or the pride of been called a prince, Jay debated which it was. He was a rude type, simultaneously dramatic. He felt like he was on top of the world finding fault in every Jay does.
And those pointed mouth of his, were abominated to gratitude. Perhaps, it skip his mind and he indeed needed someone to refresh his tarnished memory that the only reason he still breaths was because of Jay. He never for once swing his thoughts toward such direction. All he sees Jay as, was a messenger who would tidy whatever thing he messes with.
It was just as Cole had predicted. His words were matching up. It was a royal place meant for royal family and for no reason should he feel special or significant. He was just a servant and should act like one. Jay became as meek as a dove, he took into Cole advice. He only talk when asked to it or when it super necessary.
Among the whole palace worker, Jay was the youngest. They wondered why the king would gave room for such teen to bear the burden as the prince right hand man. But lest they forgot, he was and still remain the trident bearer. Hannah who happens to be Ariana younger sister and also the king last daughter. She was considered an apple in the king eye.
No doubt, she was known by all as the king favorite. Stories surrounding her birth were captivating and miraculous. Although, the king loves the trio equally but nevertheless, Hannah was nailed to be his gem, a precious treasure he values. She was a product of the inter kingdom war that escalated between Albion and the well known kingdom of Mansfield.
Isabella who happens to be the king wife was heavily pregnant with unborn Hannah. It was a time of chaos and fear. The sound of war approaching was enough to send a baby back to it mothers womb. The two kingdom weren't in good terms. A conflict had broke out between them on what should have been settled amicably with peace and dialogue but their equivalent ego only worsen the situation.
They argued for months, radically into a year over a little portion of island. History had it, that a larger part of the island belongs to Albion while one quarter of it was said to belong to Mansfield. It was a desolate island, very calm and quite. Nothing special or remarkable was happening there. Gradually, the existence of the island faded away from the eye of the two kingdom.
Centuries passed, no one visited or abides on the island. Only those who wished to travel to the far end of the both kingdom patronized the island once in an annum. There was no cause for alarm until recently when some gold miners discovered and exposed the presence of precious gold all over the island. The news sounded like a ticking bomb to both kingdom.
The word "GOLD" stripped them off their composure. The long forgotten island became a centre of attraction and desire. That was how it all started. Albion claimed that the island was historically theres. Mansfield on the other hand, defensively opposed Albion claim of ownership.
They as well claimed that the land was theres. But who is to blame! Since the bone of content is the gold.
The two kingdom had series and sequence of meeting. Both were aggressively claiming the proof of ownership. At this junction, no one cares to know the main originator of the island, they both wanted it for themselves, evaluating the economical benefit that follows. When dialogue seem inevitable, there was only one option left" War!
Two kingdom who had maintained a standard and cordial relationship for donkey years are now keen at each others neck all because of a tiny portion of island. The war began with both kingdom gathering as much weapon as possible. Isabella was heavily pregnant with Hannah. Her husband the king had led Albion men to the battle field.
Her time was up to give birth. At first the cloud went from clear to extremely dark, trying to turn the day into night. It was a moment of undeniable pain, forcing the baby out of her body. Hannah was birthed. Heavy rain came down instantly, accompanied with strange and powerful thunderstorms. Something shocking and mysterious happened.
The thunder struck the island, dividing it into two, parting half towards Albion and the other toward Mansfield hereby disrupting the inter kingdom fight. They needed no one to interpret to them what just happened , they knew better. Ever since, the king saw Hannah as a special child and an apple stuck in his eyes. She became the most pampered of all his children.
