Nine hours and seven minutes later
The sun was already beginning to set below the walls of the city of Nasiru when Rameses made his way back to the house from the shipyard.
Today, after they had handed him his brand new licence, with his name emblazoned across the silvery surface of the glass and metal card, he had finally been allowed to fly solo.
Just a small, personal craft that would barely make it to the next planet over.
But it had been enough to prove to himself that he could do it if he needed to.
He'd have to steal a better ship though. Something that would come with a far greater punishment.
It was wrong to steal after all, and the Gods were always watching.
'Not yet. Four days, twelve hours and forty three minutes.'
His mind was set on counting minutes; so much so that he almost walked directly into a petite woman with sleek mahogany hair.
