"Your hotel." Hiro shifted the gear without looking at the man beside him.
"Tell me the address," he added when he heard no answer from the alpha.
"Oh…" Izack's tone dropped. He bit his lower lip.
For a brief moment, he had let himself hope Hiro was inviting him somewhere else. Maybe for dinner. Maybe just… a little more time together.
Swallowing his disappointment, he gathered the courage to ask anyway. If he didn't try, then only he could be blamed for it later.
"Aren't you hungry?" he asked cautiously. "You barely ate anything today." He rubbed the back of his neck before flashing an awkward smile.
"I'm starving… so… would you like to grab something before you drop me off?"

His stomach growled. Hiro's eye twitched, speechless.

He silently cursed his own stomach. After a long sigh, he rested his forehead against the steering wheel for a brief second.
