Steve hadn't expected Tony to hand it over so easily. He was a little skeptical. "Are you really that generous? Then it's your treat at the bar later!"
Tony raised his hands, letting the robotic arm continue dismantling his armor. After avenging Yinsen, his mood had lightened considerably.
"We just need to come up with something to keep the military quiet. Don't worry about it now. When the time comes, I'll give Rhodes a set of combat gear. It'll keep those greedy idiots at bay and secure his promotion. I'll feel better leaving the suit with him."
Killing two birds with one stone! Even if Tony had to hand something over, he would never give away the core technology.
Even if someone tried to copy the suit, with the current level of technology, it would be impossible to replicate the energy system. At best, they could build an empty shell of metal!
And that was exactly why Obadiah Stane had failed — without a functioning arc reactor, his Iron Monger suit was nothing but a powerless hunk of steel.
If Obadiah had managed to steal Tony's arc reactor, Tony would have died.
Rhodes, who had been excited a moment ago, suddenly felt like a bucket of cold water had been poured on him. "I knew you weren't that kind!" he said unhappily.
Tony laughed. "Come on, hurry up and finish your drink. Then we can hit the bar to celebrate. We've been free lately—it's a rare day off."
Steve grinned. Since his wife Sharon was now working with Agent Hill, their plan to seize control of S.H.I.E.L.D. was running smoothly.
Honestly, it was a wonderful thing—his wife handled the work, while he got to relax!
He chuckled to himself. A soft life suits me just fine.
St. Peter's Rose Nightclub
The DJ at the front was wearing a bikini, adjusting the music as bright lights pulsed with the beat.
Tony raised an eyebrow, glancing from the DJ on stage to the crowd of men and women dancing below.
"Steve, you sure know how to pick a place!"
"Rhodes brought me here," Steve replied. "You know what? The quality here is great—better than your Cover Girl club, and cheaper too!"
Steve was enjoying himself, though not in the way Tony or Rhodes might. He didn't flirt around. First, he didn't need to. Second, he wasn't interested in "public transportation"—women who were available to anyone with enough cash.
Still, it didn't take long for women to start approaching him. With his handsome face, strong build, and easygoing presence, he drew attention wherever he went.
Money didn't matter to them—his charm and physique alone were irresistible.
That was the curse (or blessing) of being Captain America: muscles and a sense of security women couldn't resist.
Rhodes didn't mind; he was more fun-loving than Tony anyway. Even soldiers from Blackgate Prison found ways to enjoy their downtime—why shouldn't he?
Then, with a faint scent of perfume, a woman walked in wearing a halter dress and silver strappy heels. Her pale, delicate legs gleamed under the lights.
Her beautiful face was calm and confident, with light makeup that enhanced her natural allure. She sat down beside Steve, holding a glass of wine, her bright eyes filled with curiosity.
"Handsome," she said with a teasing smile, "mind if I sit here?"
"Of course not," Steve replied.
He recognized her instantly—it was Princess Nisha, the vampire princess.
Even in a tight-fitting combat dress and light makeup, she was unmistakable. Her elegant demeanor and faintly revealed curves made it impossible for Steve to look away.
Tony and Rhodes were equally stunned. She was gorgeous—natural beauty, no trace of artificiality.
"Damn it, Steve," Tony muttered jealously, "I'm not coming with you next time!"
Normally, Tony Stark was the center of attention wherever he went. But ever since meeting Steve Rogers, all the best women seemed to gravitate toward him instead. Even Pepper had started paying more attention to Steve!
Unbelievable.
Rhodes chuckled and winked. "Want us to make some room for you?"
Nisha leaned closer to Steve, lowering her voice. "My father wants me to marry someone else, but I don't want to. If you help me, I'll help you too."
Before she could say more, Steve slid an arm around her waist and smiled.
"Hey, this doesn't sound simple," he said, his voice low but teasing. "You're beautiful, and I like you. Be my girlfriend."
Nisha froze, eyes wide. She hadn't expected the famously upright Captain America to be so forward. Her lips parted slightly in surprise—an expression that made her look even more alluring.
At that moment, a group of men entered the club.
The leader was a pale young man, clearly drunk and unsteady, supported by his entourage. He looked weak and exhausted—more spoiled playboy than gentleman.
When he saw Nisha in Steve's arms, his face twisted with rage.
"Take your filthy hands off her!" he shouted, pointing at Steve. "Kneel, you bastard! Do you know who I am?"
Tony, who had been about to leave and flirt with some women, sat back down immediately.
Others might not recognize the man—but Tony did.
Deka Rockefeller—grandson of the Rockefeller family patriarch and the youngest son of an oil tycoon.
The Rockefellers controlled much of the oil economy and had deep military connections. Tony suspected that the U.S. military's shady oil dealings were tied to them.
Oh, this just got interesting, Tony thought, grinning. An oil tycoon? This I have to see.
Steve, unaware of who Deka was, didn't move. In fact, he tightened his hold on Nisha.
Nisha, catching on quickly, leaned closer with a shy, flustered smile—adding fuel to Deka's fury.
Deka's face went red with rage as he lunged forward, ready to start a fight.
Meanwhile, Nisha's lips curved into a faint smile. Steve had embarrassed her before, and now she saw a chance for payback.
Enduring her discomfort, she leaned in closer and whispered softly, pretending to be affectionate while slyly provoking Deka further.
Just then—
Ding! Mission triggered: Vampire Princess.

Steve blinked. Well, that's… surprisingly game-like.
Before, he could only estimate an enemy's condition. Now, he could see it clearly.
And that aura—draining energy like a real vampire?
Perfect.
With enough defense, he could probably fight Thanos all day.
