Gerald watched as the blood of his enemy was spilled by her own hand. She stared at the gaping wound, it pulsed, almost as if it was trying to heal itself but being restrained by Nera herself.
Her wounding herself wasn't what froze Gerald, however—it was the fact that she killed her own people without even any hesitation. And since the emperors' faces weren't that far off from humans, he could clearly tell that she was pissed.
He focused on the wound again, and it was in the very same spot he was also stabbed.
"So, you're really just in this for the fight, huh?" Gerald wiped the blood trailing down his chin, spitting out whatever was left before he casually yanked out the dagger from his back. He sighed, staring at Nera for a moment before just suddenly appearing right in front of her—the heel of his foot, only a single millimeter away from smacking Nera right on the nose.
