Had I dreamed of this day. Yes I had, so many times. I had imagined so many scenarios where
Elena loved and understood me and chose me. What I didn't expect was for my wish to come
true, I mean she was Thane's sister afterall so I was more ready for her hatred than I was for
her love.
'I know it may sound crazy but I've had quite a little obsession with you ever since I received
those things you got for me. I mean sure my parents got me toys but you and I both know they
have horrible taste, not to mention their taste in clothes, god it's like they were buying clothes for
an orphan. Mom has poor taste and I loved the dresses and hair accessories you got me.I
agree I was clueless but when brother Thane gave me that huge box claiming it was mine, I was
thrilled. That huge doll, the cute teddy bear,all those hair clips, even two cute dresses that
looked so adorable and made me feel like a princess.'
A little of the embarrassment I attained from remembering what I did yesterday was standing in
the corner waiting for its moment but right now, it was our moment, as in Elena and I. I pulled
her into another hug, the feel of her in my arms brought so much emotion all at once. My heart
felt light and my cheeks started hurting from smiling so much.
'Crazy enough I found out about you when I was 15 years old, I thought you were Thanes'
daughter and I was so excited to be a stepmother, crazy right. It sounds crazy but I thought I
would get married to Thane one day. You became my world. I considered you my daughter
despite not having any relation with you.'
'I guess that makes both of us crazy doesn't it. Now that you're here, I'm never letting go. Love
you lots, fairy.'
I may have lost the love of my life but at least I got someone better than that. I got so much
more than I could ask for and that was something to be grateful for. The daughter I had always
hoped to love, god had given me the chance to do right with her.
From that day on, Elena and I spent a lot of time together. Her family didn't object to us
spending time with each other, they let us be. We did so many things together, sometimes
sleepovers, sometimes movie marathons, well most of the time we spent in my apartment doing something. Kaashvi was incredibly happy that I finally found a distraction. Elena barely ever
spent at least five hours at home because of me, she was with me most of her time and I was
just glad that her family did not object or restrict her from seeing me. I know Thane was against
it though.
Today I took her to our favourite ice cream spot. We were seated in our usual spot, a bucket of
ice cream with various flavors in front of both of us, although hers was smaller.
'Thank you for everything fairy. I can tell you how glad I am that my wardrobe looks far better
now.'
Elena giggled.
'I'm just grateful I get to do these things for you and I'm so glad I get to spend time with you.
Although I'm starting to think you'd dislike me if I had bad taste'
Elena pouted her lips and crossed her arms over her chest.
'Is that what you think of me', she said with a cute pout.
'Okay then, now I am angry at you.'
I got out of my seat and stood in front of her, my expression a little defiant as well.
'Now my feelings are hurt too because you're mad at me.'
(Mwah) Elena stood on top of the chair and kissed my forehead.
'Fairy you know I love you so much right. I will never hate you. If it was up to me I'd keep you
forever. I wish you were my sister in law so that I could see you day in and day out.'
Elena takes my hand and places it on her head.
'Fairy, promise me that even if we separate you will come back for me. Please promise, fairy
that no matter the distance you will never forget me. Promise that you will never abandon me.'
'I promise baby. I'll always be here and if I'm not I will try and find you and I won't rest until I
have you back in my life. I promise.'
I decided it was a good time to give her the necklace I got her. We just had to pick up the order.
Elena quietly ate her ice cream with a huge smile plastered on her face. After eating ice cream, I
took Elena to a jewelry store. We went to the till with the purchasing order code and the lady
there smiled as she gave me the box with the necklace. I got the necklace custom made and
had instructed the jeweller to insert a tracker on it.
'Elena,' I called as I put the necklace around Elena.
'Please keep this necklace with you at all times. I got it made especially for you. It represents
our relationship. Always keep it on you.'
Elena's hands snaked around my neck as she hugged me. She looked so excited and happy
about it. This is how I always wanted to see her. Happy and stressfree.
'Thank you fairy. I promise I will keep it with me always.'
