KAASHVI
Everything was going well, everything was going so fuckin well until she got arrested. Why
would they accuse her of murder? I was extremely angry when Elena told me what happened to
Mahira. This family is really starting to get on my nerves. They're so hell bent on ruining
Mahira's life. I left her alone for a month and she's already imprisoned for attempted murder.
I'm sure as hell this is all Ariana's doing. If she has to fulfill whatever motive she has towards the
family then she has to get rid of Mahira and that's exactly what she's doing.
I can't believe that Thane fell for someone like her. If he loves peoples personalities so much
couldn't he see that Ariana was evil.
I don't trust her and I'm going to expose her for what she's done. She's hiding under a mask
acting like a heavenly sent angel.
And Mahira, I thought she was supposed to only have a relationship with Elena so how the fuck
did she get involved with the whole family.
Just because it's that moron's family she won't argue. As soon as I get those charges dropped. I
am going to take her away myself because if I leave her alone she will make another stupid
decision.
Driver ,'Madam, we have arrived at the Carson family mansion.'
'Thank you. Here's your money. Keep the change.'
I'm here now and I am going to wreak havoc on the people who are making Mahira's life difficult.
I had to bribe the security guard into letting me in and he sure was expensive but useless. If I
had a guard like him keeping me safe I'd be so disappointed in my choice of security.
Quite frankly breaking into someone's home at midnight was unethical but was it ethical for
them to send my best friend to a prison for a crime she didn't commit. While they slept in the
comfort of their home peacefully mahira was probably sleeping with a worn out blanket infested
with diseases and mosquitos that had malaria so ethnicity isn't an option when it comes to them.
They had a lovely mansion no doubt about that, the hall looked like it could accommodate all the
homeless people in the world. Exaggeration, maybe yes but that's how big it was. The dining table looked so small in this hal and now I wonder what they need such a big hall for.
If a murderer broke in there's nowhere to hide in this halla nd by the time they reached the door
they'd be shot dead or stabbed. Rich people are stupid.
I switched on the lights and went to the kitchen. Their kitchen was plain, looked like it was
designed by AI, not in a bad way but my kitchen looked 1000 times better than this, it had life
unlike this one. White was the only color I could see here.
I took a pan from one of the drawers and a spoon from the other. Good. ive always wanted to do
this. I went to the hall and stood in the middle and started hitting the spoon against the pan as
loud as I could.
Ariana was the first one to come down the stairs in her silk gown with a face mask on her face.
Ooh I ruined the beauty queen's sleep. Perfect. I hit the pan even louder until she got down the
stairs and snatched it away from me.
'Kaashvi. What are you doing here? Did your driver get the wrong location? This is the Carson
house, not the prison cell that Mahira is locked in.'
Arrogant much. Ariana wasn't even an exceptional beauty. I have met far more beautiful women
with kinder hearts than hers and her arrogance disgusted me.
She walked around me in circles as if studying her prey. The rest of the family was now here as
well, clearly annoyed by my presence.
'It's midnight, you crazy girl. What do you want here?'
'Exactly you hooligan. What are you doing here?'
Well first of all I wish I was a murderer and I'd kill all of you and make your bodies disappear but
unfortunately none of you are worth losing my career for.
'Well you know what, let me introduce myself first. I am Kaashvi Reyes, best friend of Mahira
Riley. Where the fuck is that good for nothing son of yours Ms Sofia?'
'Don't you dare talk about my son!'
'Why? You don't like it. I guessed so but it's okay I'm just getting started. Where's that mother
fucker anyway?'
Ariana stood before me, her pride sickening'
'Kaashvi! How dare you call my husband a mother fucker. Your best friend is the real slut here, a
disgusting home wrecker and killer.'
I slapped her defenseless ass and the expression on her face was priceless. Ariana was sent
flying to the floor. Her light skin now had a five finger imprint.
'I know you all think that Mahira tried to kill your grandmother, well I wish she was capable of
that and even if she did kill someone I'd be so proud of her but I think we all know she ain't
capable of that but your new family member jere is in fact capable of murder.'
Thane intervened
'What makes you think that you can just barge in our home, disturb my family's peace and say
whatever you want. You even assaulted my wife.'
'I can do it again, do you want to see? I'm not scared of you Thane. You fuck up with Mahira's
life and you think I'll let you go. My best friend was arrested under false charges. The case is in
three weeks right. Well not anymore , I just made sure the case is on the fast track. I will prove
Mahira's innocence and whilst I do that, trust me, I'll expose this bitch you call a wife.'
Ariana stood up from the floor in an attempt to defend herself but I slapped her once again. 'I suggest you stay on the floor because if you try to be on my level. I will forget that you are the
daughter of Montez's.'
'Wait dear. What's with all the drama? I am the one who called you here. Please follow me. All of
you, you can go back to sleep now.'
I almost forgot i was here for her now their family although messing with them was kinda fun.
I looked at Ariana who was still on the floor and winked at her before silently following Alf to her
room. As they got there, Alf closed her bedroom door and locked it. Elena was sitting on the bed
with a guilt ridden face.
'You must be Kaashvi right.'
'Yes I am Kaashvi and I…'
'Okay. I am Alf Carson. I'm pretty sure you know who Elena Carson is right.'
Rude.
'Yes I do.'
'Good.'
Elena interrupts the conversation.
'Kaashvi ma'am I really didn't mean to do what I did. I wasn't thinking straight. I'm really sorry.'
I loved the kid I really did because she made Mahira happy but I'm not Mahira. The only reason
why I like her is because of mahi or else i didn't care much about her.
I hate the fact that even Elena turned against Mahira. My only goal now is to get Mahira out of
prison and away from them, even Elena.
'Listen here Elena. Get this straight. There's a huge difference between me and Mahira. Ms Alf,
I understand you are older than me but I'm not going to consider that when it comes to Mahira.
Elena, Mahira loves you so much. More than life itself but it took just one incident for you to
forget your bond and turn against her. Mahira will never be safe or happy as long as her fate is
intertwined with the Carson family. That's why as soon as I win this fuckin case, I'm taking
Mahira with me.'
'Auntie plea…'
'No Elena,my decision is final. I'm not going to change my mind. Alf you are the eldest so make
sure no one comes near Mahira.'
I left their mansion as soon as I was done with Alf. If I'm going to win this case then I have to
find evidence myself and stand for her myself. Good thing my sister studied law so I knew a
thing or two about the profession.
COURTROOM 3 State Vs Mahira I haven't met Mahira yet because I was still busy gathering as much evidence against Ariana as
I could. I was also mad at her for not fighting for herself enough or calling me for help but that
didn't matter now, all that matters is that i had to win this case.
Mahira was brought into the courtroom with handcuffs on her arms. I've seen her looking
miserable but this was beyond. Well if she stayed connected to Thane's family I'm pretty sure I'd
see worse than this.
Prosecutor Rachel Patel,'Your Honor, the evidence will show that Mahira deliberately attempted
to murder Mrs Alf Carson with premeditation."
Judge Thompson,'Ms Kaashvi, how does your client plead?'
Defense attorney Kaashvi,'Not guilty your Honor.'
Prosecutor Patel,'We have eye witness testimony from Ariana herself, security footage at the
Carson kitchen garden placing Mahira at the scene, and a motive, a long standing feud. The
family also stands witness to the fight that occurred on the night of the dinner.'
Defense attorney Kaashvi,'The eye witness testimony is unreliable, the footage is circumstantial
and the motive is fabricated.'
Judge Thompson,'The prosecution's case seems strong, Ms Kaashvi.'
Defense attorney Kaashvi, 'we have new evidence, your Honor. The new found evidence proves
that this was all Ariana's plan to murder Mrs Alf for all her wealth to be transferred to ' Thane
Carson '. A surveillance video from a nearby alley show's Ariana's brother, Ethan, purchasing
poison from some dealers. Another footage clearly shows that Ariana planned Alf's murder
when she was in a restaurant with Ethan, executing her next plan.'
Prosecutor Patel, 'objection! This video is suspiciously convenient.'
Judge Thompson, 'Overruled. Continue.'
'furthermore, Ethan has a history of drug dealing and violence. We believe Ariana and her
brother fabricated this case.'
Prosecutor Patel, 'that's outrageous!'
Judge Thompson, 'order! The jury will deliberate.'
During the break
This case isn't working in my favor. I need Ariana to confess somehow. I took out one of my two
phones and put it on recording and then I held the other one in my hand and pressed record. I
just have to find her and bring her here and trick her into confessing.
Speak of the devil and she shall appear. Ariana came to my break room and closed the door
behind her. Was she seriously so stupid that she'd fall into a trap like this?
'Kaashvi. Why are you trying to incriminate me?'
'I am not from the Carson family, so there's no need to pretend with me because I know your
truth.'
Ariana's innocent mask fell off. She crossed her hands over her chest.
'You are right Kaashvi. Why should I pretend in front of you? The evidence you presented is not
strong enough to prove that Mahira is innocent. Mahira will spend half of her life in prison. You
won't be able to prove me guilty.'
'Ariana, don't you know that over confidence can kill you?'
Ariana looked at the phone in my hand that clearly had the evidence of all Ariana's misdeeds.
She grabs it and steps on it until the screen is completely crushed under her heel.
'What the hell, Ariana? That phone had all the evidence against you.' 'Exactly! That's why I destroyed it. Now there's absolutely no chance of winning this case. So
now that you have nothing to record or prove your point with let me tell you a secret.'
She smiled this time taking a few steps towards me.
'Well Kaashvi, I'm pretty sure you know this. I don't love Thane, I just want his money. That day
when poor Mahira prepared dessert, I might have put poison in Alf's plate while she was
reaching for the tray in the cupboard. It was easy to accuse Mahira. My plan was to kill that old
hag but no, I don't know how she survived. As soon as Mahira is imprisoned, you just wait and
watch. I will murder that old woman and feed her remains to the animals.'
She flung her hair in front of me and left. Now here's the thing about over confidence, it will
knock you off your feat when you least expect it. She thinks she's won but she's just given me
the final evidence I need to press charges on her and get her arrested instead.
Jury returns
I took my place in the opposing team's front row seat. Mahira stood next to the guard who was
wearing a black uniform.
Foreman,' We find the defendant, Mahira Riley GUILTY.'
Ariana smiled.
'No your Honor. I have one last piece of evidence that will prove that my client Mahira is not
guilty.'
'bring forth your evidence.'
I gave the judge my phone. In the video, it showed Ariana's confession of trying to murder Alf.
'The evidence presented by defense attorney Kaashvi Reyes clearly proves that Mrs Ariana
Carson tried to poison Mrs Alf Carson with the hidden motive of usurping all of Thane Carson's
wealth.'
Foreman,'we find the defendant, Mahira, not guilty and Mrs Ariana Carson guilty of the
attempted murder of Alf Carson.'
(Court erupts)
'No! This can't be!'
Ariana was arrested for Alf Carson's attempted murder and Mahira was proved innocent. I
smiled as I mentally crowned myself the winner of this round.
'All of you, just wait and watch. I'll come back for my revenge. I have lost today all because of
that Kaashvi. I will come back, mark my words, I'll destroy all of you!'
Ariana was taken away.
I smiled at Mahira when she looked up at me. The guard removed her hand cuffs and she slowly
walked towards me. I hugged her as soon as she got to me.
'Thank you Kaashu. Thank you so much.'
'You didn't think I'd let you rot in jail for Ariana's crimes now did you?'
Mahira smiled again, this time a little more relieved. I made a mental note to take her to the spa
for a bath and maybe do a little shopping and perhaps I'd book her a ticket to London tomorrow
and take her there myself. Thane's family was still outside standing together, discussing
something. I approached them ready to rub salt on their wounds.
'Its a bummer you guys were wrong about your daughter in law. I mean, I did try to warn you. I'm
glad she's in jail though, I don't know about you guys.'
'How dare you. You think you've won, but this isn't over.' 'I'm warning you, stay away from mahi. I only exposed Ariana so that Mahira can come with me
to London without any objection.'
