Chapter 37: New Members of the Family (I).
Cerberus and Nuo Lin locked eyes, both of them radiating pure hostility. The spire was spreading behind them, "If this keeps up the whole forest will be destroyed-!"
The air between them seemed to crack with tension. One wrong move, and I was certain these two would set the entire forest on fire.
"Stop, both of you-!" I cried, throwing my hands out. "There has been a misunderstanding! Cerberus is a good boy! I promise he won't hurt a fly!"
"Awooo!" (Fenrir) showed his fangs and let out an ominous howl.
Cerberus snarled and Nuo Lin tensed at the same time, neither of them backing down, "GROAR!"
Celestia stepped closer and gently took my hand, her warm fingers wrapping around mine in a reassuring squeeze. Her calm golden eyes met mine, steady and unwavering, as if silently telling me not to panic.
