Thalia and William stood in front of the children's ward, their eyes filled with happiness.
It had been a month. After an entire month of waiting, they could finally bring Laila home.
The tiny baby was sleeping peacefully inside her crib, completely unaware that she had become the center of everyone's attention.
At just over a month old, she looked much healthier than she had when she was first born.
Her cheeks were fuller now, and her tiny body had gained enough weight for the doctors to finally approve her discharge.
Thalia's gaze remained fixed on her daughter.
A smile slowly appeared on her face, "She got bigger."
William chuckled softly, "That's what babies are supposed to do."
Thalia ignored him and carefully touched Laila's tiny hand. The baby immediately grabbed her finger without opening her eyes.
The simple action instantly melted her heart. A month ago, she was too weak and too small.
Now she was finally strong enough to leave the hospital.
