Zein's Point of View
I'm losing myself. Am I angry? Too much. I don't know if I can forgive them for what they did. They surrounded us with lies that they covered up.
But, why is that? No matter how much I hate Ace, it all disappears when I see him. I want to be angry but I feel like a traitor. My love for him is more dominant.
Sister Sam... I know you don't like what's happening to us right now but all of this is for you. We want to make it right.
All mistakes. Not all secrets are buried in oblivion, they need to be revealed so that you can face the future whole. Not the ones you fear inside.
I saw tears in Ate Allison's eyes because of what I did. My hand was still shaking as if it was still eager to land on Ate's cheek again. I felt like one slap wasn't enough.
"Z-Zein, I can't."
"You can handle it." My voice became bitter because she was so different now. The fighting girl who didn't know how to be scared was gone. "We'll end it all, sister." My voice cracked.
I turned my gaze to someone else because I couldn't bear to look at her. I was annoyed that every time I saw her, I saw a different woman. A far cry from the sister I had grown up with.
"Is this what a reunion is like? A slap?"
Raze laughed softly, but at that moment I knew he was trying too hard.
God. I'm so hurt by what I found out and I don't know how Raze will handle it. I'm scared. I don't want everything to go wrong, the relationship between the two of us, but this is the best of all and this is the only way.
"I'm getting sleepy," Raze said, yawning. "I'm going home." He said goodbye, but Hanz stopped him.
"Here we go again? Are you going to run away from the problem again?"
"Problem?" Raze laughed at Hanz's remark. "You're the only ones with a problem. I'm not involved." His voice became cold.
A cold wind blew. My knees shook. I almost jumped when I felt a cloth wrap around me.
"I don't care if you're angry or you hate me. I don't want you to get sick." He said as if I was going to take it away.
This was accompanied by another gust of wind that ruffled her hair.
His cold eyes were so melting that I immediately avoided them.
I don't know what I'm feeling. It's so confusing and I don't know how to start pouring out the emotions that are tangled up inside me.
I didn't know things were this bad. I thought nothing could be worse than being locked up in hell.
But it hurts more when your enemies are those close to you and... Yourself.
"Raze..."
"Tangina! I don't like what you're doing." We fell silent when she shouted. "Because... I'm hurt and I don't know why." It was almost a whisper.
I looked at my sister. She had both hands covering her mouth as if she was preventing us from hearing her sobs.
Maybe, you think now that I hate you. But, no, sister. Everything I told you is true. There are no lies in that. I love you, very much. I'm not angry with you, I'm angry with what you did. I hope you understand me. I'm only doing this for you... For us.
We cannot move forward in the future if we are left with a part of the past.
"H-Let him go." Sister said. "Just punish me. Please, don't do it." She knelt down.
My chest tightened and I couldn't take my eyes off him.
Winzy laughed at what she did. She bowed in front of Ate Allison.
"I can still accept what you did to me. Your lies, but I will never accept your leaving us. It's all your fault."
The older sister was about to speak but didn't continue. She wanted to say something but she was afraid. Instead, she just bowed.
"Whoa. Are we in a drama now?" Raze asked bluntly. "I want to be an actor but I don't like drama." He continued.
Your words, Raze. Your jokes and your nonsense... Will I still see you? Will we still hear you? I want you to stay that way.
"Do you know that this woman is guilty," Winzy pointed at Ate Allison before looking at Ace. "And your brother's guilt in Samantha's death?" she asked.
Damn... It's starting.
Raze laughed. I looked at Ace who was just looking at Ate Allison.
"No." Raze replied bluntly. "I don't know and I don't have time for accusations. I don't want to. If this is the only reason you came back, maybe... It would be better if you didn't come back." His voice deepened.
I quickly hugged Ace when Hanz punched Raze in the stomach, causing him to quickly fall to the ground.
"D-Don't look..." I whispered to Ace who was looking behind me. We remained hugging each other. "Just don't look, darling." I added.
I don't want him to witness this. Raze is still his brother and I don't want him to see what they're going to do to him.
"Oh, shit! Hurt him again and I'll fucking kill you!" Allison screamed, unable to move because Winzy had the knife pointed at her. She smiled, making my hair stand on end. "I don't care if my sins increase again and my character gets burned. I'll send you to hell. Hurt him, I'll kill you." He threatened coldly.
Badass... Ate.
Raze remained lying on the ground, holding his stomach.
"I want to look, Zein, but I don't want to disobey your order."
"Shut up, Ace."
Don't look anymore, you'll only get hurt. Gather your strength because you're going to face something much worse than this.
Ate fell to her knees when Winzy stabbed her leg, causing it to lose strength.
"Shit... What was that for?" Raze managed to say. His mouth was bloody as he looked at Allison. I could see the anger in his eyes because of what Winzy had done.
Now it becomes more clear. All. I intervened with Sister Allison, Lux, and Sister Samantha. Their feelings are wrong and confused.
"Go to sleep first," Hanz said before injecting Raze with sleeping pills.
"Is that a sleeping pill?" He asked as his eyes widened. "I can finally sleep. It's already night." For the last time, he looked back at Ate Allison who had also fallen to the ground.
"Don't hurt her... Just don't." he said before finally falling asleep.
They were right. Raze wouldn't just agree. That's why we prepared this. All the plans had to come true because this was our last card. This was the only way to talk and it was also the most painful.
"I hope we can stay like this, Zein." Ace whispered to me. He was still facing me from behind and hugging me.
I want to think that you really love me, but when I think of Ate Samantha... I doubt it.
"Does it hurt?" Winzy asked Ate.
"This is how we felt during the times you abandoned us," he added.
Why, Sister Allison? Why did you abandon them?
"You won't understand me."
"How can we understand if you don't make us understand?"
Sister Allison's mouth fell shut.
I feel like there's something wrong with him. He wants to say something that he can't say.
I have no idea what that is.
Only Ace, Hanz, and Winzy were standing. Raze was no longer aware that he was now fast asleep.
I couldn't help but stare at her gentle yet brave face. Her blonde hair was a mess.
Now... I know something will change in him after all this is over.
He will change and I can't blame him. But, I still hope he will understand.
"What if Lux finds out that you..." He said to Ate Allison. "You also pretended to be Samantha," she said.
"He'll understand... I know Kuya. He'll understand Allison."
"Ace, shut up."
He didn't speak after I said that. I don't know how many minutes we had been hugging each other.
"What if he finds out that you're a traitor. That his brother killed his girlfriend."
"Ace didn't kill Ate Samantha." I couldn't help myself. "You don't understand him because you're not Ace." I couldn't stop the bitterness in my voice.
I don't like how they blame Ace, as if Ace is the only one at fault. Ace is at fault, yes I know. But, there's a reason. Everything has a reason. They're at fault too.
"Make Lux understand everything," Hanz said coldly. "He's already been hurt and you'll hurt him even more. Don't you feel sorry for him?" he asked.
We were silent at what he said.
"You united him."
Sister Allison laughed.
"I can tame him, remember. I didn't just leave you." Tears welled up in his eyes. "I had a reason for doing that. A reason I'll never tell you."
It screamed.
My eyes widened when Winzy pulled out a device. I knew it because Madame Violet had used it on me. Electricity that would weaken a person's body and I knew how painful it was.
"You won't use that on him."
I said coldly.
I looked at Ate Allison who was smiling at me. I let go of Ace to try to stop Winzy but he was already ahead of me.
Ate Allison screamed because of the pain at the same time as she fell to the ground.
I felt my leg break as I fell to the ground. Hanz quickly came to me and injected me with a sedative.
I fell to the ground and didn't even feel it. My vision blurred when I saw Ace running towards me but Winzy was already ahead of him.
Just like he did to Ate, he also used that device on Ace. Ace tried to reach for my hand but it didn't reach and he fell to the floor.
Winzy let go of the device and before I completely lost consciousness, I saw Hanz hug her.
All plans will be fulfilled. The most painful ending is soon to come... I'm afraid.... Scared.
