Chapter 37 - Broken Fragments

"Huh, Where am I?"

Satya woke up in a land of desolate white.

Tiny particles of cold are falling from the sky.

...

"Just in some lost memories."

A voice came from behind Satya

Satya quickly turned around to look at the source of the voice, and behind him stood a lady.

The lady was equal to Satya in height, but she carried a solemn look in her white eyes.

She seemed to be the queen of this desolate land with her brilliant white hair and eyes.

She seemed to be as alluring as the light is to a moth.

Satya was flushed at looking at her, 'Cause he had never seen a lady so beautiful as her.

A being so pure that it almost feels sacred.

But his racing heart calmed down as he looked at her eyes.

Her eyes were devoid of any emotions, an endless white expanse frozen in them.

The view sent a chill down Satya's spine.

"Who.....no..What are you?"

Satya looked at her eyes devoid of all color.

The desolate scene looked back at him.

A figure of a man was blurring in it.

"Just a lost fragment."

Satya's eyes widened at this remark.

"You too...."

Satya's brain started running in overdrive.

"What... are these fragments? And why do most of those I meet are merely fragments?"

Satya's eyes reddened a bit.

"What... What happened to the original?"

"Fragments are as they sound... The fragments of what once used to be a person."

The white figure spoke in an alluring voice, but Satya was only frightened by the words.

She continued.

"Most who dare face [THEM] become fragments, that's why everyone you meet is never whole."

Satya's eyes slowly lost color as well.

"Who are [THEM] and why are they so dangerous?"

The odd woman smiled.

"Too much knowledge is a sin."

She looked somewhere, Satya looked there to find out that white fog was sweeping in.

"I suppose this is the end of our meeting.

I hope you will remember my name....."

But before she could say her name, Satya woke up sweating profusely.

"What..... Was That?"

Satya looks around to find himself in a grand palace.

Satya stood up and looked around.

He noticed something different from before he slept.

On a wall to his right was a number written in Sanskrit.

The number "8" was written on the wall.

A cold sweat poured down Satya's head.

He remembered it never being there.

"Antar Shuddhi."

Satya chanted, but not a single thing changed.

The number remained there.

The blurry dream of his sleep was still there.

Satya decided to ignore it as attention more than necessary had always proved lethal to him here.

Stepping outside he looked at the palace with a look of gratitude before going off.

Satya went straight into the inner Shrine.

The Main building of the shrine was made from just ordinary stones.

Yes, ordinary stones, not magical stones or jade and diamonds.

But ordinary stone.

But....

The stone was a piece of the mountain.

Exactly like the mountain.

Stepping inside Satya found not special engravings or architecture, but more of a serene place.

A place that was sacred in every bit.

It was not trying to look sacred but it itself was so sacred that even a blind person could tell.

In front of him streched an hallway with paths opening on every side.

Satya continued walking forward, not distracted by all the branches.

Soon the endless hallway ended and a tall black gate was in front of him.

The gate was glowing in black light.

Satya rubbed his eyes and looked again.

But yes it was glowing in a black light.

Satya quickly regained his composure and pushed open the gate.

The heart of this shrine seemed to be just like the first shrine he had seen.

[The First Shrine Of Transcendence]

But its size was enlarged by tens of times.

The look of this place captured Satya's entire attention.

He didn't even realize when he had gotten directly in front of the tall mountain idol.

At its base stood a lone altar.

Words engraved on it.

[Write Your True Name.]

A book was placed on the altar.

Its center was hollowed out as if telling Satya to write there.

Satya looked around, but he didn't find any ink.

But he did find a blade.

Satya thought for a bit and slit open his finger.

And wrote in the book.

[Pahal]

The words were erased the next second but nothing happened.

Satya tried to leave the altar, only to find out he couldn't.

He wrote again.

[PAHAL]

It was erased once again.

Satya continued this a few times but to no avail.

Finally, a thought entered his mind.

He wrote

[Satya]

The next second the book glowed with the same black glow.

A black fire burned on it.

The fire burned fiercely before transforming into a mountain.

And the mountain was absorbed into Satya's hand.

A Symbol of a mountain appeared on his forehead.

{A dream reveals much to me.

Yet it always leaves me questioning more.

A mountain emerged with.

The flames born from a named entity."}
