Ray started coughing.
Kai burst out laughing, clutching his ribs and doubling over.
Anna stood between them, a smug smile stretched on her face, her arms folded under her chest.
"Well?" She prompted. "Should I get the measuring tapes?"
"That would be unnecessary," Ray said quietly. His face was red and he was doing his best to hide it.
"Sure sure, cutie," Kai however was enthralled at the idea. He slung an arm over Anna's shoulders and pulled her close till her cheek was laid flush against his. "I know I'll win," he whispered seductively in her ear.
Anna knew he was only acting this way because of instinct. Pure biology. Just like when she had a heat.
But that didn't mean she wasn't affected by the undertone in his voice.
Her cheeks heated and she playfully punched his ribs, making he pull back. "Stop saying such gross things!" She gasped, her voice trembling. "Oh my goodness you're incorrigible!"
Kai only winked at her, totally unbothered.
