The second day of calibration training is, if anything, more humbling than the first.
Yeon Yujun stands in the middle of the Icarus Guild training floor with his arms at his sides, staring at the three practice dummies he just took out with what was supposed to be a C-level <[B+] Thunder Spark>, and tries to remember why he thought this would get easier overnight.
"You did it again," Seo Hwigeon says, from somewhere behind him.
"I'm aware."
"You're pulling the mana correctly up until the last second and then your instincts override it."
"I know."
"So stop letting your instincts override it."
Yeon Yujun turns around slowly. "That's genuinely the least helpful thing anyone has ever said to me and you've said a lot of unhelpful things."
Seo Hwigeon tilts his head. Behind him, Ki Yeonbom, who has been watching from the observation area with a tablet in hand and the expression of a man taking very detailed notes for reasons he hasn't explained, writes something down.
