"Do you still remember our promise?"
The familiar and cheerful echoing whisper awakens Song Dohyun to a memory that he refused to get back to in his restless dreams.
"We're getting out of here, remember!?"
Song Dohyun flutters his eyes open slowly, finding himself back to the memory before the Great Vortex. He sits by the campfire with the other hunters wandering around the alien forest, he looks down at his hands where the cupcake used to have been and is now replaced with a wooden cup with a steaming stew.
The cupcake that he gave Eight at his birthday. It was November 10.
"Yeah, we're a team." Song Dohyun nodded, drinking from the wooden cup and felt the warm stew going down his throat. He felt comforted by the homey soup that Han Yerin made for Eight's birthday.
Han Yerin chuckled, pouring more stew into other wooden cups to hand out for people. "I mean– we've been here for three days and we're so close to finding the boss soon!"
