Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 – The Eye of Prophecy

Dumbledore truly deserved his reputation as a Transfiguration Master.

His explanations were incredibly simple and easy to understand.

Lucas had only listened for a few minutes before his system panel suddenly changed.

...

[Talents: Obscurial, Parseltongue (Supreme)]

[Dark Arts Mastery: 9]

[Transfiguration Mastery: 1]

[Divination Mastery: 0]

...

Under the effects of his ten-point Intelligence stat combined with Dumbledore's personal guidance, Lucas's Transfiguration Mastery directly rose from 0 to 1.

And that single point was far more terrifying than it looked.

This wasn't a simple talent stat.

It was actual mastery.

One point of Transfiguration Mastery alone already placed Lucas roughly on the same level as an average Hogwarts fifth-year student.

With his absurd Intelligence attribute, Lucas learned magic at terrifying speed.

As long as he understood the underlying principle, mastering it became incredibly easy.

Almost instinctive.

Lucas immediately raised his wand toward a broken piece of wood nearby.

The wood twisted slowly before reshaping itself into the rough outline of a bed.

Although the craftsmanship remained crude compared to Dumbledore's elegant creation, it already possessed the practical structure of a real bed.

Dumbledore stared openly in shock.

"Oh my…"

Then genuine delight appeared on the old wizard's face.

"If this happened during a Hogwarts lesson, I would award twenty points immediately!"

He looked genuinely excited now.

"I believe Professor McGonagall will be absolutely thrilled to meet you."

Dumbledore truly felt astonished.

Most beginners learned Transfiguration by turning matches into needles.

Yet Lucas had just learned the fundamentals and already transformed a broken plank into a full-sized bed.

Such magical talent was simply absurd.

Even legends like Merlin probably weren't much more gifted.

Lucas immediately smiled modestly.

"That's because Professor Dumbledore explains things so well."

Then he added sincerely:

"I bet you were an incredible Transfiguration professor before becoming Headmaster."

Dumbledore laughed warmly.

"I haven't blushed this much since Madam Pomfrey complimented my pink earmuffs."

Clearly, he was extremely pleased.

"I truly have never seen a young wizard as talented as you, Lucas. You don't need to be so humble."

Then Dumbledore glanced toward the two beds.

"Well, it's getting rather late. I suspect both you and Miss Vole should rest properly now."

With another flick of his wand, the bed Lucas created floated smoothly toward the opposite side of the tent.

A curtain appeared between the two beds immediately afterwards.

"Perfect."

After exchanging goodnights with Dumbledore, Lucas finally lay down on the bed he created himself.

Although somewhat rough-looking, it felt unbelievably comfortable.

After all, this was technically the first proper bed he had slept in since arriving in this world.

A few moments later, he heard soft hurried footsteps approaching outside.

Cassandra had apparently been persuaded by Dumbledore to come back inside and rest too.

However, thanks to the curtain separating the beds, Lucas couldn't actually see her.

Rustle.

Nagini slithered quietly back into the tent before curling comfortably into the magically enlarged pocket inside Lucas's robes.

Lucas suddenly remembered something.

Oddly enough, Dumbledore never asked about Nagini at all.

Not once.

He simply ignored her existence entirely.

Honestly, Lucas was perfectly happy with that outcome.

Fabricating fake memories through Occlumency constantly was mentally exhausting already.

Thinking about it now, Snape surviving around Voldemort for years while hiding his true loyalties was genuinely ridiculous.

Unlike Dumbledore, Voldemort used Legilimency aggressively and without restraint.

Lying to him constantly must have been horrifying.

Lucas lay comfortably against the bed before opening his system panel again to review today's gains.

Soon, his attention landed on the unused Skill Point.

"I should probably spend this now…"

His eyes slowly moved down the panel.

...

[Dark Arts Mastery: 9]

[Transfiguration Mastery: 1]

[Divination Mastery: 0]

...

Lucas suddenly paused.

Divination.

A dangerous thought appeared in his mind instantly.

If he added points into Divination Mastery…

Wouldn't that mean directly learning real prophecy magic?

As though reading his thoughts, the system immediately responded.

"Ding! Correct!"

"Adding one Skill Point into Divination Mastery allows the host to directly obtain prophetic abilities!"

Lucas's breathing immediately quickened slightly.

Divination was one of the rarest magical disciplines in existence.

Without innate talent, no matter how hard someone studied, they would never achieve genuine prophecy.

Even at Hogwarts, most Divination students only learned vague guesswork and tea leaf nonsense.

But with the system…

Everything became absurdly simple.

Lucas immediately opened the panel fully.

"System, add my Skill Point into Divination Mastery."

"Ding! Skill Point allocated successfully!"

"Divination Mastery +1!"

The moment the upgrade completed, Lucas suddenly felt a sharp sensation between his eyebrows.

Then—

Something vast and mysterious connected to his mind from beyond.

It felt as though an invisible eye had opened somewhere deep within his consciousness.

"Ding! Host has awakened the Celestial Eye!"

"Thanks to Divination Mastery level 1, the host gains basic prophetic abilities!"

"Current capability: Predict events involving targets other than the host within the next three days."

"Warning: Due to the immense magical consumption, the Celestial Eye cannot remain active continuously. Please activate it only when needed."

Lucas immediately noticed one detail.

"Wait. It can't predict my own future?"

"Ding! Current Divination Mastery is insufficient to observe the host's personal fate."

Lucas accepted that explanation fairly easily.

Honestly, this ability was already absurd enough.

In the original timeline, even Professor Trelawney couldn't trigger true prophecies at will despite possessing genuine prophetic blood.

Meanwhile, Lucas could now intentionally predict future events directly.

And the most terrifying part?

He could continue upgrading it later.

Lucas immediately made a decision.

Once tomorrow's mission against the werewolves finished, he would invest both new Skill Points directly into Divination.

At that moment, sleepiness vanished from his body entirely.

"Hiss… Nagini, come out for a moment."

Lucas rubbed his hands together excitedly.

He wanted to test his new ability immediately.

Obviously, bothering Dumbledore or Cassandra in the middle of the night wasn't an option.

Which meant poor Nagini became the only available test subject.
