Five days since the Nightwalker Council visited Silvermoon. And the first thing Leander did was assign two bodyguards to Vessara, with a stern warning to stay away from Anthea.
And the two men had spent the last five days following her everywhere. They drove her to school and took her home. They were present inside lecture halls, outside her room, by her side while she ate at the restaurants. Everywhere. They never spoke unless necessary. They never looked directly at her for long.
Their presence was like chains to her ankles and wrists.
She and Anthea only stared at each other in shared classes. They haven't been able to communicate cause Vessara doesn't have a phone anymore.
But today, during class, they managed to communicate with eye signals, which was why Vessara found herself slipping out of a lecture hall twenty minutes before class ended.
They followed her immediately.
"You can't leave."
Vessara rolled her eyes. "I need to use the restroom."
