Liatart walked to an isolated area, where he spotted a mountain.
As for Ta Issei, he returned to his wooden house, where he was coughing intently as he was coughing up blood. As his body becomes weaker, Ta Issei lies on the bed and rests.
Ta Issei: For so long, I have finally been able to move on. At least I can take it easy now.
Meanwhile, Liatart is enjoying the wind on this mountain. He realizes that it has been so long, he wanted to see how weak he has become.
He breaks a small crack in space, and an intense gush of wind collapses the tree in the area. Then stop as the damage becomes too much.
He has now become even weaker.
Liatart returns and sees Ta Issei lying on his bed. He sits next to him and asks.
Liatart: How is your health
Ta Issei: Oh, I'm just resting my old body can't seem to keep up anymore, I think it's about time for me to finally rest
Everything went silent for a few minutes.
Liatart: I'll get some tea,
As he walks to get it, Ta Issei stops him and tells him there is a spare cloth in the temple. Liatart went there, and he got the cloth. This cloth is a traditional Amgkarian Warrior cloth.
Liatart put it on and walked back to the wooden house, where Ta Issei was amazed by how similar he looked to the ancient Amgkarian Warrior.
This cloth dates back to the First King of the World, who almost achieved world domination. The Amgkarian Warrior is one of his mightest elit Warrior in his Military.
Ta Issei smiles slightly.
Ta Issei: You reminded me of a history book I read from a long time ago, about the rising Empire of the Engkor Empire.
Liatart: Is it really that great
Ta Issei: Yes, it is a brilliant book it written by a famous historian in the Western world. His fascination with the Engkor Empire inspires him to share that knowledge with the rest of the world, just how wonderful and rich our world is, and how one man's ambition and determination can reshape the world.
Liatart looks at Ta Issei in silence, then suddenly stands to go get the tea.
Liatart: I'll go get the tea
Ta Issei sees Liatart walk out, and he looks at the top of the wooden house. As his eyes wanted to close, Ta Issei didn't try to stay awake, his close his eyes.
Liatart returns, and notice Ta Issei has passed.
He walks slowly, puts the teen down, Liatart sitting next to Ta Issei looks around, there are some really old drawings of his mentor and a few others when Ta Issei was still a young man. This house has a history, once had noise of others, but now Ta Issei is by himself as his senior has passed on.
Liatart noticed there was a note behind the painting, which said: "Just let the past fly away with the wind."
Liatart walk out of the house and he heads to the easth side of the temple, there he see an abandone wooden house but despite it has been abandone for so long, this wooden house show some sign of has been clean before and some of it accessory for making food are incredibly old but also well kept and organize and Ta Issei is the only one is live in this temple right now,
Liatart touches the abandoned house's wooden wall, and it seems that the wood is decaying with a slight touch.
Liatart: Despite such memory having already long gone, it seems that He himself also can't seem to let go. You said to me that you have decided to let it go, so I suppose you have your own struggle to separate yourself from such a connection, too. These elderly much as been an amazing family, despite the fact that they just happen to walk into your life
Ta Issei was only able to let it go very recently and live in the present instead.
Ta Issei, A land God that only knows quietness, then experiences what connection is, then he struggles to let it go as his life slowly turn into quietness again.
As nighttime came, Liatart decided to burn the house. As he watched the house burn, Liatart knelt down.
Liatart: Thank you, as I do not know how to express my gratitude, so this is the best I can think of. I am also deeply apologize becuase of me, you are unable to meet them sooner. Again, I am deeply sorry.
Ta Issei, on the other side, smiles slightly as he sees the elderly again that give warmth are came to welcome him to the new home.
Tomorrow morning, Liatart is getting ready, and he is on a journey by heading west. A new storm is slowly forming itself.
Liatart uses the teleportation magic to take himself somewhere and arrive at the west side of the Engkor Empire. He is now in the land of the Limness Kingdom.
Liatart walk a few days passed, and he spotted a small village. He walked in, and then he noticed the people were wearing their clothes differently.
Liatart went to an item store, where he bought a world map. As he looks into it, he notices over 50 nations have either dissolved, invaded, vanished off the map, been divided, or renamed.
The Nation, he is currently in, was once called the Kingdom of Gol Lag are now known as the Kingdom of Limness.
Now knowing that the world has changed so much, Liatart is now standing in a new world.
He continued on his journey a week later, and he arrived at the Capital of the Limness Kingdom.
He walks the big wall around the capital, then he jumps up and stands on top of the wall. Despite the fact that outside of the capital is quite peaceful, in the capital, the line between the rich and the poor is being drawn incredibly clearly.
On the side near the wall,it is full of old houses, people begging, and some are fighting, and others are selling the smallest things they have to survive, while in the middle of the capital, another layer of smaller walls is also being built; it is full of luxurious residents, despite barely anyone living there.
Liatart wanted to know more, so he looked around, and the capital gate was the first thing that came to his mind.
Liatart walks around in a nearby path to the capital gate and sees a man. He walks toward him.
Liatart: Hello there,
The farmer stops and sees a man walk toward him,
The Farmer: Oh Hello, Are you a guard, Sir?
Liatart: No, I am just a traveler that like to know about the capital
The Farmer: Oh, Is that so? Well, I am sorry that I can't say anything about it.
Liatart is a little confused.
Liatart: May I ask why?
The Farmer: I just, we just wanted to keep it to ourselves. We love what we have and what we can get and give
The farmer's hand seems a little shaken as it is covered with a little bit of blood. Liatart sees the farmer use a small piece of cloth ripped out of his pants to seal his injury.
his finger nail is seem to be breaking, the farmer is also wearing incredibly old clothes
Liatart: May I ask how long you've been wearing these clothes?
The Farmer: Oh, this cloth is just what farmers always wear.
Liatart: It is clear that your body is not well. If you keep wearing it, you will damage your body.
Liatart lifts his hand and tries to touch the farmer's cloth, but almost immediately, the farmer grabs his hand, slightly shaken.
The Farmer: Please do not need to concern, I am just trying to do what I can (with a slightly sobbing voice)
Liatart let his hand go; the moment the farmer also let go, Liatart saw there was some blood on his hand, and some small pieces of dry blood came off the farmer's hand.
Liatart: How long have you been pulling that heavy cart with you
The Farmer decided to ignore Liatart and keep pushing his cart full of vegetables to the capital gate.
Liatart followed him a little bit, as the farmer keep taking rest every 10 minutes and see the farmer contantly keep look around. Then, a few moments later, another farmer came from the opposite direction, and the two of them met; they seemed to be friendly with each other.
Then the farmer who came from the opposite direction reached his cart and gave him his water, and then he continued.
He immediately drank the water intently as his hand shook in the throes of thirst.
Liatart's hand twitches as he takes a deep breath.
Liatart: Despite much that has past nothing has changed
Then Liatart found somewhere near the capital to rest for the night, then suddenly another farmer passed by, then Liatart decided to see what was really going on himself.
he sneak behind this farmer and knock him unconscious, cover the farmer with a blanket on the cart, and wear the left over cloth in the cart, but he rip the cloth even more and drop in mud to make it even more dirty ever, Liatart wear it and tomorrow morning came he pretend to be a farmer and enter the capital gate himself whille the farmer is on the cart cover by a piece of clothing.
He then walked in the gate, and the moment he stepped on the capital's soil, a guard suddenly shouted at him to stop. Liatart sees the guard wave his hand to the other guard to come and look into Liatart's cart.
Then the guard asks
They ask him to remove the cloak that covers his face.
The Guard: Hey, remove that cloak, and show me your face
Liatart removes it and looks at the guards.
Liatart: Can I enter now
Then, suddenly, another that inspecting the cart suddenly shouted and showed a small bag of drugs out of the cart.
He handed the drugs to the guard standing in front of Liatart.
The Guard: Look at this, I see that you are trying to do something illegal. Hey, go get the document. We're going to make a report on this.
Liatart: Huhnn. Why, what am I being reported for
The Guard: You are trying to smuggle an illegal item.
Liatart: I'm just a poor farmer how able to get such a thing,
The Guard: Then how about this? We can negotiate on how to resolve this.
Liatart: Thank you, then how can we do it
The Guard: You don't understand aren't you, then we can proceed with the report
Liatart: Wait, what do you mean we can negotiate right
The Guard: Due to your inability to understand how serious this situation is. We can let you go.
The Guard keeps the pressure.
The Guard: You are facing a protien prison term of 3 years
Liatart: What do you need, my cart, my vegetables
The Guard ignores Liatart trying to say anything, and continues reading what he might face.
The Guard: You might also be transferred to another harsher prison, where you have to work for the prison
Liatart: 3 silver coins I can offer,
The Guard stops and looks at Liatart, then he suddenly continues reading.
Liatart: How about 8 silver coins
Then the Guard stops reading the document and walks closer to Liatart.
Then, suddenly, he slapped Liatart. The guard shouted at his comrade, telling them to go get the handcuffs.
Liatart: I already offered you what I had, please just let me enter
The Guard grabs Liatart Hair as he shouts louder to his comrade to hurry.
Liatart: 11 silver coins, that is all I had with me. You can take my cart if you want.
The Guard: Hey, forget about it.
they shout back, " What?'
The Guard: It's just a misunderstanding, I'm glad you understand. Alright, let him pass.
Liatart handed him the 11 silver coins, then the guard moved aside and let Liatart pass.
The Guard: Let time if you wanted to pass, even easily, just call for me. I will do a special service for you next time.
Liatart: I thank you, if you excuse me
Then Liatart grabbed the cart with his arm, revealing his arm to the guard. He saw Liatart's arm full of veins and slightly shaken, and Liatart grabbed the cart's handle intently but also gently to prevent breaking the cart.
The Guard: What was that? Is that guy a farmer warrior or something
Then the farmer awoke, he looked around and saw a man sitting next to the cart. He panicked and asked him,
The Farmer: Who are you? Please, I don't have anything on me. I have children at home I'm barely able to feed them. Please (Begging in desperation)
Liatart didn't respond; he was just sitting there in silence.
The Farmer looks around, and he sees that his cart is still the same, and his belongings in the cart are also still there.
Then he looks back at Liatart.
The Farmer: Huh, we're already in the capital.
Liatart: I'm sorry that I do that to you.
The Farmer: No, if anything, I should be sorry. You went through the gate, didn't you?
Liatart slightly hesitated
Liatart: Is this what they call normal here?
The Farmer: Yes. It's just another normal thing we have to face in this society. Every time I came to the capital to sell my vegetables, I always hoped that I could sell them to the right buyer, for an extra profit, so I could return with something better than just a few pieces of bread to continue living.
My children don't seem to mind, though, due to their young minds, but I don't know what to do to prevent them from living like their father.
Liatart: How are they doing now?
The Farmer: They are doing fine. Let me telling something that my children and me doing about a week ago, we went to the forest, but we are not strong enough to hunt those animal are ourselve, so we caught some bugs and grill it, two of my kids spit it out, and one of them actually enjoyed it.
Then the farmer's voice started to sound more emotional.
The Farmer: I really. love that moment I felt so alive with them, but the idea of this society might destroy their innocent hearts scares me
Liatart felt it again, the feel of forever being imprisoned in harsh reality. a society of people that ate itself from the inside out, greed is the kind of pleasure that will never be enough
He stands up,
Liatart: I don't know what to say, your story has something that I am also struggling to fix as well, but please, do not lose all hope yet, the future can be very unpredictable
Who knows, there might be someone unexpected, unknown, and also strange walk into the kingdom and changes it all.
