Chapter 11 - Tamerlein

The storm raged on, but this time, the Sundered Seas was dyed crimson with the blood of Alpheus, whose body had sunk to the deepest depths of the sea.

Arinthal lay on the floor of the upper deck, his velori depleted and exhaustion crippling his body. The captain stood over him, forgetting for a while that their ship wasn't on calm sea.

"I'm a bit surprised that weird rumors are being spread about you. They say you're weak and a nobody, but now that I've seen you with my own eyes, you might just be one of the strongest elves if it wasn't for your unstable magic," he said quietly before calling a healer to heal Arinthal.

The Seekers, who were also being healed, were now looking at Arinthal in awe and genuine respect. They had clearly disdained Arinthal's magic from the start, but now, they saw him in a different light.

Just then, a crew member rushed up and said the words no one would want to hear in the middle of the sea.

"There is a hole in the ship. We're sinking."

Almost immediately, almost everyone above deck rushed down to the spot the crew member had directed. The captain found a huge hole at the right side of the ship and water slowly leaking into the ship. Almost immediately, a water-based arcavel mage managed to seal the hole with velori, but with the seriousness of the storm, the ship wouldn't survive.

The captain climbed above deck and found Arinthal finally able to move, but still unable to channel velori.

"My prince, the ship is at risk of sinking," he told Arinthal desperately.

"Are you a fool?" Arinthal asked flatly.

"My Prince..."

"Don't you know something called a teleportation circle?" Arinthal cut him off.

"Yes I do, but our destination is the Tamerlein continent and we need something from there before we can create a teleportation circle."

"Well, you're in luck. This is a pebble that is possibly from a beach in Tamerlein. Use it," Arinthal said and tossed a pebble at the captain, who then handed it to the seekers.

They laid the stone on the floor and quickly fused their velori into a circle. With some effort, the circle slowly expanded until a glowing circle was beneath the ship.

The three elves said the activation incantation in unison.

"Activus."

Instantly, the ship began to sink along with the water beneath it into the teleportation circle.

The ship felt as shaky as hell as it teleported into another portion of sea, probably miles away. It landed with a huge crash, sending water flying in all directions.

When the water subsided, the group looked on at the beautiful scenery in front of them. The sea was golden with sunset and a huge stretch of land was a few kilometres away.

They had arrived at the Tamerlei sea..
