Chapter 45 - Cecilia's Effect

A day later, everyone had already gone home--they all witnessed the brutal battle between Cecilia and the mimic that impersonated a little girl.

Right now, Koji was back at home and his parents had heard of the accident; for the next week, he would be given time to recover. After that, they would resume normal classes and Koji would finally start his journey on his path of learning about the Lightning Mantra, but for now--he simply needed to stay put and comprehend, and get over what he witnessed that day.

'Damn... It looked so real, the blood--everything was just like as a normal human!'

Although no one was seriously, or even harmed at all--this event was very traumatizing to the children, and had even left an effect on Koji himself. This was because of the brutality displayed. The brutality in which a child's organs were splattered onto the grass.

'I can still picture it clearly, fuck--get out of my head!'

Koji couldn't stop picturing the gory scene that was displayed to him; the brains, the blood, and the caved in head of that beast--not a single one of them left Koji's memory, or stopped haunting him.

'It's not that bad, it was just a beast! I need to get over this, being so worked up over just the sight of it, this is unacceptable. I remember, I once thought that if I were to witness a gory sight that it wouldn't affect me much--how stupid! This is bad, if I can't even stomach that, how would I ever kill something like that myself?'

Koji kept his gaze down at his knees; they trembled slightly, it was apparent that although he knew that this was weak, and that he shouldn't be this worked up--yes, it was just the opposite; he was completely shook.

'Horrible things, they keep happening; Ivory's leave, and now this! What is this? Ivory's leave was my fault, but this--this is completely out of my control. Unpredictability, uncontrollability, weakness, and incompetence; yes, all of these must be erased! I need to be able to fully grasp every situation, and handle it so it doesn't hurt me.'

If he was strong enough, he could have instantly disposed of that mimic before he had to witness the sight of a child being turned into meat paste; of course, he doesn't blame himself for what happened--all he thinks, all he knows--he simply has to become stronger.

Though, his silence could not last forever; the world would not stop when he was down, and people's voices wouldn't go quite if he wanted silence; at least, not yet they wouldn't.

"Koji, are you okay?"

Mei frowned as she stared with pity at Koji; she hated seeing him down, and when she first heard of the situation she was absolutely appalled that her nine year old child witnessed such an atrocity--though, she gradually calmed down; for now, all she wanted to do was help Koji get over it.

"Y-yes..."

Koji was caught a bit off guard, but he had an answer quickly; although he may not be okay currently, he didn't want Mei staying worried.

However, Mei instantly knew Koji was lying, and she gradually moved towards Koji, and then bent down and hugged his head to her shoulder.

Koji's eyes widened as he was pulled into Mei's warm embrace, he could feel her slender arms wrap around him and stroke his hair; the softness of her shoulder, the warmth of her arms, and the comfort her hand stroking his hair brought, Koji couldn't help but lean in.

His eyes closed and his breath softened; Koji fell completely victim to her embrace, and couldn't help but try and move even closer. He had not ever felt the embrace of a woman, besides when Mei did it; he had not had a mother to rely on, until Mei came along in this world. Truly, she had graced him with so many great things.

Although one's thoughts may go quiet, and their minds would be put to rest in such an embrace, Koji's was different; his thoughts drifted to so many things that have been going on now, and even things that happened in his past life. This warm embrace of Mei's was like thorns coiling around Koji, and squeezing every bit of sadness out of him.

He couldn't help it, her embrace reminded him of one thing, that reminded him of another, and so it went on! Even despite this support from her, Koji's mind still haunted him--and it would continue to do so! Everything, every little thing reminded Koji of something--every little thing he could link to something that haunted him. He hated it, but it was as if he did it completely subconsciously!

'The warmth of her arms, I never had this--will I have this in the future? Will a woman in the future, who isn't just my mother do this for me? They didn't in my past life, so lonely--I am just so lonely!'

That was truly it, he was simply lonely.

And that is why he began to weep in her arms, as if he truly was a nine year old; the tears flowed down his dark eyes onto the clothes Mei wore, and she simply hugged him tighter.

'I'm a mess! I'm just a mess, a contradiction--an utter contradiction!'

Koji kept weeping in her arms, and kept cursing himself in his head; the boy cried, though he was the only cause of his crying--part of him hated this, he felt pathetic for being so self critical, and wanted to stop lamenting every single little thing.

However, the other part of him didn't care--it wanted to bash every little flaw of himself into his brain, and smear it all over his face--tears, that is what was smeared on his face!

And another part of him felt as though he should just not care, and another part of him felt as if his reaction was valid, another part of him felt like he was just exaggerating his feelings, and finding peace in this sadness--and even more parts of himself had different opinions! It was like a crowd of people all yelling different things, and the performer had to make sense of all of the noise.

His self, his mind was completely scattered.

"My little Koji, don't worry--I'm here okay? Just go to sleep..."

Mei spoke up as she continued to stroke his hair; of course, she thought he was calming down, that he would eventually simply fall asleep in her arms.

This was not the case.

There was no conclusion to Koji's self inflicted torture; it simply kept going in his mind, and truthfully--it had been his whole life. Although at times he had peace from it, they were simply just brief moments; most of the time, his thoughts were running wild.

How nice it would be if he could only shut them all off.

After awhile of staying in Mei's embrace, despite his mind still running wild--Koji fell asleep, not so very peacefully really; though, he was still at rest.

Mei gently let go of him, taking her arms and slowly removing them from being wrapped around his body; after, she pulled his tiny legs up into the bed and laid his head on the pillow.

After kissing him goodnight, she quietly left the room; once again, Koji was alone in his bed; though, now he was resting.

...

"Alexander, Alexander--please you know I am the most fit to be your bride!"

In a rather large hot spring, where the water was clear as day; where nothing besides the mountains it resided in could be seen--Alexander and six women sat.

His gold hair cascaded onto the naked woman beside him, who's nipple was rubbing against his chest and her tongue licking his jaw.

"My bride? You talk as if I plan on marrying any of you."

All the women, especially the one at his side whined; one of them, a beautiful woman with light grey hair and dark orange eyes spoke up.

"But master, we would all expand your influence if you married one of us... And you know, out of all of us I have the biggest family, oh and the biggest assets."

The woman rubbed her two thighs together as she spoke and looked at him provocatively; obviously, she was desperate for him.

Alexander's gaze swept across the spring to the woman, and he observed her rather big breasts, the curve of her waist to her hips, and her glistening pussy; all of these would sway the average man, no--they would absolutely make the average man beg on his knees! Though Alexander simply chuckled, and answered her like she was trash.

"A body like yours, simply good to use--nothing there is worth cherishing."

His blue eyes narrowed as he said the last part, and he simply looked away from her after staring at her for a second longer.

His gaze moved to the woman at his side, who had short black hair and and beautiful blue eyes; in fact, she was even prettier than the other woman, and her body was on par with hers too.

"Yes, master?"

She blushed a bit as he looked at her, and instantly asked what he wanted; hopefully, he would ask her hand in marriage.

"Hmm.. I will consider you; though, I cannot guarantee anything."

The girl smiled brightly and instantly nuzzled her head against his neck.

"Thank you! Thank you master!"

Though, suddenly the wind swept drastically across the hot spring!
