"What is this smell!"
As soon as the plane door opened, Bun and his group smelled the pungent stench of blood.
Ryusei and Qi Xiaosai's expressions changed drastically. The situation seemed even more serious than imagined. Unlike Bun, they could tell this was the smell of blood. For the stench to be this thick, how many people must have died?
"Ryusei," Qi Xiaosai said, signaling him to get ready.
Ryusei nodded slightly and gripped the holy sword of physics Nyarko had given him. Ryusei found this holy sword of physics to be very miraculous; it was clearly a metal object, yet it could avoid detection. Moreover, it couldn't be bent or broken no matter what, and its power was immense. it was practically a divine artifact.
"Bun, be careful." Ryusei warned. Although Ryusei and Qi Xiaosai had taught Bun and the others how to use firearms on the plane, and firing them was no problem, Ryusei was still worried about something happening to the three of them.
"Young Master, there seems to be someone over there!" Xiao Fei suddenly shouted, pointing in a direction. Ryusei and the others looked where Xiao Fei was pointing and saw someone indeed; it looked like a girl.
However, in Ryusei's line of sight, the distant girl seemed to have fainted, just lying there on the ground.
"Ryusei, let's go check it out!" Before Ryusei could say anything, he saw Bun and the others running toward the girl.
"These guys..."
Ryusei was so angry he clenched his fists, wishing he could give them all a few hard punches to vent his frustration.
"I'm definitely going to teach these guys a lesson later!" Saying this, Ryusei also quickly followed them.
On the other side, not far from Ryusei and the others—the place where September's plane had landed—March and February had arrived. Seeing the ground covered in fresh blood, they couldn't help but feel a chill.
"How many zombies do you have to kill to make it look like this?" March looked at the land that had turned entirely blood-colored and couldn't help but marvel.
"These are clearly zombies (sangshi)." Although February's heart was also shocked by the terrifying scene, he didn't forget to complain.
"They don't carry blood on them; isn't calling them 'jiangshi' more appropriate?" March replied.
"Just because they have blood doesn't make them'sangshi'; some 'jiangshi' also have blood on them." February replied, then suddenly noticed something. He ran over and bent down to look at some black powder on the ground.
"What's this?" March also walked over and asked, looking at the powder.
"It's lightning!" February said, "This powder on the ground must be what's left after someone killed the zombies with lightning. This should be the remains of the zombies after being struck by lightning."
"Then it's just ashes." March said, then looked around to see if there were any other discoveries.
"If there are no surprises, this should be caused by a Seventh Sense." February stood up and patted his hands. "The only ones with a Seventh Sense that controls lightning would be from VV Academy. If I remember correctly, it's VV Academy's Military Star; her Seventh Sense is the Art of Thunder Control!"
"It must be her then." March nodded. "There's no way to pull power lines out here, so it must be VV Academy's Military Star. But people from VV Academy couldn't have made such a huge scene, right?"
"You have a point." February nodded, then patted his head in frustration. "This is such a headache!"
Bang!
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out. February and March's expressions changed, and they both looked toward the source of the sound.
"Over there. Is someone still alive?" March guessed.
"Forget about that, let's go check it out." Saying this, February grabbed March's hand and ran toward where they had parked the motorcycles.
Back with Ryusei, the group was surrounded by a massive number of zombies.
"Big Strong, watch that girl! We're breaking out!" Ryusei shouted as he swung the holy sword of physics. During these few days under Nyarko's tutelage, Ryusei hadn't just been taking beatings; he had learned seventy to eighty percent of Nyarko's Cosmic CQC. His physical fitness had improved rapidly under Nyarko's inhumane thrashings. In just a few days, Ryusei's constitution had reached a new level.
Ryusei executed Nyarko's Cosmic CQC. Every swing took the lives of several zombies. Blood splattered onto Ryusei's face, adding a touch of brutality to his handsome features.
The expressions of Qi Xiaosai and the others behind Ryusei were a bit strange. Every one of Ryusei's attacks targeted the most fragile parts of the male body. Coupled with Ryusei's immense strength, whatever part was hit by the holy sword of physics would explode completely. It was terrifying.
Especially for the men, seeing the miserable state of those zombies made them feel as if they were standing naked in the snow—cold to the bone.
"Is that still the Young Master? So scary!" Xiao Fei trembled as he hugged the equally shivering Bun.
"I don't know either." Bun was also terrified and grabbed Big Strong's arm.
"That's too brutal."
Qi Xiaosai watched Ryusei slaughtering his way through the zombie horde with a crowbar and couldn't help but break into a cold sweat. This was way too brutal! What on earth did those people teach Ryusei!?
Elsewhere, in the city center, Asagami Fujino and the others had arrived after leaving the airport.
The deafening sounds of gunfire and explosions dispelled the desolate silence. Everyone has a seed of violence in their heart; under the constraints of law and life, it stays hidden deep within, waiting for the moment to erupt!
And right now, the situation with September and the others was almost identical to an eruption of that violence.
Various types of heavy firepower were brought out by September and her group. In this city where only dead things existed, they engaged in the first wild bombardment of their lives.
Rounds of heavy artillery were fired as if they cost nothing. Under the baptism of fire, large numbers of zombies were turned into dust.
"Fujino, is this okay?" Sakuya asked softly, looking at Asagami Fujino, who was beside her admiring the fireworks show of September and the others.
"It doesn't matter. Just some dead things and a city." Asagami Fujino smiled, her eyes filled with indifference, completely different from her usual self.
"Fujino..."
Sakuya wanted to say something, but her mouth was blocked by Asagami Fujino's. Once she realized what was happening, Sakuya began to actively cooperate with Asagami Fujino.
Accompanied by two slight gasps, the two finally separated.
"It's fine." Asagami Fujino smiled, hugging Sakuya's arm and leaning her head gently on Sakuya's shoulder, her eyes full of tenderness.
"Mhm." Sakuya responded softly, her eyes holding the same look as Asagami Fujino's.
