The doctor turned back to his brown leather bag. He opened the brass buckles. He reached deep inside and brought out a very small, thick glass vial. The vial was sealed tightly with a small cork. Inside the clear glass, there was a thick, glowing, dark blue liquid.
The doctor held the vial up into the yellow light of the oil lamp.
"This is a concentrated, cooling herbal medicine," Dr. Aris explained, showing the vial to Damon. "It is made from rare ice-mint and soothing roots. It will not cure the hallucination, but it will drastically cool her blood down from the inside. It will give her body the boost of energy it needs to destroy the poison much faster."
Damon stepped forward. He reached out his large right hand.
Dr. Aris carefully placed the small glass vial into Damon's palm.
