After the death of Fuegoleon Vermillion, Cedric decided to seriously work on improving his healing abilities.
He placed a half-dead fish on the table as a faint green glow radiated from his hand.
After repeatedly flipping the fish, a perfectly cooked pan-fried grilled fish was ready.
Cedric sighed, "The Mystical Palm Technique is too difficult, my Ice Magic is stuck, and I still can't properly sense mana flow for healing. I'm seriously useless."
He took a bite of the grilled fish, feeling oddly frustrated.
As usual, Cedric injected magic into the Blood Magic Stone before preparing to sleep early.
Suddenly, the pendant on his chest lit up.
"Cedric, save me. My sisters dragged me to a blind date."
It was Rebecca Scarlet.
After the dungeon expedition, Cedric had given Rebecca a portion of magic tools and money, telling her not to overwork herself.
Yet she remained the same, constantly pushing herself to exhaustion.
Sometimes she was even dragged into card games she didn't want to play.
This chaotic life left her both happy and miserable.
Recently, she had even been thinking about finding another girl to join their games.
Without hesitation, Cedric grabbed his Nimbus 2000 and headed toward Naan.
Not far away, Noelle Silva stepped out from the trees and pulled a broom from beneath her skirt.
"It's so late. Where is Cedric going?"
Inside a tavern, Finral sat stiffly with Asta and Luck Voltia.
Across from them sat three girls, each with her own charm.
One was gentle, one lively, and the last looked slightly timid but had smooth, glowing skin.
An awkward silence stretched for over ten minutes.
Finral clenched his fists internally.
This is my moment.
After all, I'm the senior here.
He activated Spatial Magic and produced a bouquet of white flowers.
"Hello, ladies. I'm Finral, a Spatial Mage. I travel often, and the captain values me greatly."
"What a frivolous guy," the three girls thought in unison.
Luck leaned forward, grinning, "My name is Luck. I love fighting strong enemies. Watching blood flow is exciting."
Asta immediately followed, "I'm Asta from Hage. My dream is to become the Wizard King."
He slammed one foot onto the chair and flexed his muscles.
The girl named Eleonore frowned slightly.
Wizard King? This short guy from some remote village?
No thanks.
The atmosphere became even more awkward.
Finral wanted to cry.
I should have dragged Cedric here.
At least he's normal.
"We've introduced ourselves. Now it's your turn," Finral said.
The gentle girl spoke first, "I'm Erica Statut. I work at a tailor shop."
"Eleonore Babury. I work at a salon."
Finally, Rebecca spoke softly.
"Rebecca Scarlet. I run a small restaurant."
A strange guilt stirred in her heart.
I'm basically already committed. Why am I even here?
"Um, I have something to do. You all can continue."
She stood up, ready to leave.
Finral panicked.
If she leaves, we're done for.
"Wait. Don't you want to know what Magic Knights usually do?" Erica pulled Rebecca back down.
"Let's stay a bit longer."
Then she smiled at Finral, "So, what do you usually do?"
Finral froze.
Recently, he had mostly been teleporting Yami Sukehiro into random places, including questionable ones.
He quickly turned to Asta, "Asta, didn't you accomplish something impressive recently? Tell them."
Asta stood up awkwardly, "It's nothing special. I just got a few holes punched through my body."
He opened his shirt, revealing still-healing wounds.
Finral's soul nearly left his body.
I'm never bringing you again.
Despite everything, Finral managed to gain Erica's interest, as he was the most normal one present.
Eleonore, strangely enough, became intrigued by Luck's personality.
That left Asta and Rebecca sitting in silence.
"What do you like to eat? I like potatoes," Asta said nervously.
Rebecca stood up immediately.
"If you can't talk properly, don't talk. I'm leaving."
She walked out of the tavern.
Asta sat there, completely frozen.
"Rebecca, how was the mixer?" Cedric appeared in front of her.
Without hesitation, Rebecca ran into his arms.
"It's all Erica's fault."
Not far away, Noelle froze.
Who is that woman? Why is she hugging Cedric?
A strange pain tightened in her chest, making it hard to breathe.
Panicking, she turned to leave but accidentally bumped into a drunk man.
The man looked at her with filthy intent.
His rough hand reached toward her chest.
"Die, pervert."
Noelle instantly blasted him into a wall with Water Magic.
The man staggered, grinning.
"What a nice body. I wonder how you'll feel too."
Cedric's eyes turned cold.
"Tree Magic: Hell's Chaos."
Sharp wooden spikes pierced the man, draining his life instantly.
"Are you alright?" Cedric asked calmly.
Noelle trembled, "He's dead. Cedric, we need to run. Magic Knights aren't allowed to kill civilians."
Cedric wrapped an arm around her slender waist, pulling her closer.
"No one cares about trash like him."
"Tree Magic: Wood Dragon."
The massive wooden dragon devoured the corpse completely.
Noelle stared at Cedric in shock.
This cold, ruthless side of him felt completely unfamiliar.
Cedric smirked and squeezed her waist slightly lower than necessary.
"What's wrong? Scared? Anyone who touches you like that doesn't deserve to live."
Noelle's face flushed, her body stiff against his.
"Uh... Cedric?" Rebecca's voice broke the moment.
Only then did Noelle notice her.
Cedric sighed, "Rebecca, this is Noelle. Noelle, this is Rebecca."
Noelle tightened her grip on Cedric's arm, pressing herself closer against him.
"Sister? Hello. I'm Cedric's girlfriend. My name is Noelle," She buried her face into his chest.
Cedric felt a chill run down his spine.
This is bad.
He looked at Rebecca, expecting anger.
Instead, she simply smiled.
"Noelle is a nice name. From now on, I'll call you Sister Noelle."
Noelle's eyes sparkled.
She's so kind.
So warm.
So this is Cedric's family.
"Rebecca, you're not angry?" Cedric asked cautiously.
Rebecca rolled her eyes, "What do you expect me to do? Just wait until tonight."
She stepped closer, her voice lowering slightly.
"I'll show you exactly how strong I am."
Cedric raised an eyebrow.
Rebecca smirked.
"I'll make you beg."
Noelle's face turned bright red as she clung tighter to Cedric.
Cedric's expression stiffened slightly.
Things were about to get very troublesome.
