Chapter 25: Power and Responsibility
Obito stood silently for a few moments, looking at Wang.
Then he spoke softly,
"Wang... do you know what these powers truly are?"
Wang shook his head.
Obito looked up at the sky.
"People believe these powers are a symbol of greatness..."
"But in reality..."
"They are simply weapons."
"A weapon is neither good nor evil."
"It becomes good or evil only through the person who wields it."
"Every power carries the potential for destruction."
"That is why a true warrior first learns to control his heart..."
"...and only then his power."
As he finished speaking, Obito took out a black cloth from his pocket and gently tied it over Wang's eyes.
Wang looked confused.
"Father... I can't see anything."
Obito smiled.
"Exactly."
"When your eyes are closed..."
"...you begin to see what cannot be seen with ordinary sight."
He stepped in front of Wang.
"Now focus on your breathing."
"Feel the wind flowing around you..."
"...and the air flowing within your body."
"They are not separate."
"They are one."
"Nature exists outside you..."
"...and within you."
"Now stretch your hands forward."
Wang slowly extended both of his hands.
Obito's voice echoed calmly.
"Feel it..."
"The wind is already in your hands."
"It is not your enemy..."
"It is your companion."
"If you truly understand it..."
"...it will flow according to your will."
Wang took a deep breath.
For a few moments, complete silence filled the mountain.
Then suddenly—
Whoooooosh!
Powerful winds rushed toward his outstretched hands.
Jim watched in amazement.
Within moments, a massive Air Sphere formed between Wang's palms.
Violent currents of wind swirled inside it at incredible speed.
But...
The very next moment...
The sphere began to lose control.
Rrrrrumble!
The air pressure increased with every passing second.
Wang's arms trembled violently.
It felt as if they were about to burst from the overwhelming force.
"Ahhh...!"
He cried out in pain.
"Father!"
Obito's expression instantly turned serious.
He moved like lightning.
Placing both hands on the unstable Air Sphere, he shouted,
"Air Seal!"
A gentle blue wind radiated from his palms, wrapping around the raging sphere and gradually absorbing its violent energy.
Within seconds—
Whoosh!
The terrifying Air Sphere disappeared completely.
Silence returned to the mountain.
Wang's knees gave way, and he collapsed onto the ground.
His hands were shaking uncontrollably.
He looked at Obito with frightened eyes.
"Father..."
"If you had been even a moment late..."
"...my own power would have destroyed my hands."
Obito knelt beside him.
He placed a reassuring hand on Wang's shoulder.
"My son..."
"This is the true nature of power."
"Power always carries the possibility of destruction."
"That is why the power of the natural elements must never be used in anger, pride, or haste."
"It has the power to give life..."
"...and the power to take it away."
Wang looked at him in surprise.
"It can give life too?"
Obito smiled.
"Yes."
"You just witnessed how dangerous the wind can become."
"But that same wind can carry a drowning person safely to shore."
"It can drive poisonous gas away from innocent people."
"It can clear thick smoke from a burning forest and save countless lives."
"And the Air Element can also balance the flow of oxygen and natural energy within the body, helping wounds heal more quickly."
"Always remember..."
"Every element of nature can bring destruction..."
"...or healing."
He remained silent for a moment before continuing.
"The elements of nature are neither good..."
"...nor evil."
"The one who decides their purpose is the person who uses them."
"If your heart is filled with compassion..."
"...this power will save thousands of lives."
"But if hatred takes root within your heart..."
"...the very same power could destroy the entire world."
Obito gently placed his hand on Wang's head.
"So always remember..."
"A true king does not take pride in his power..."
"He takes pride in mastering it."
Wang looked down at his trembling hands.
Then he slowly clenched them into firm fists.
The fear in his eyes had disappeared.
Only determination remained.
"I promise, Father..."
"I will never use my power for destruction..."
"I will always use it to protect life."
A satisfied smile appeared on Obito's face.
He knew that today Wang had not only learned his first lesson in the Air Element...
He had also learned the first and most important lesson that comes with true power—
Responsibility, compassion, and wisdom.
High upon the mountain peak, the powerful winds continued to blow.
But on that day...
Nature had begun revealing its first secret to a new guardian.
