Chapter 77: Torture and Suffering, the First Revenge

The black robed figure's Spirit was an evil, undead type Spirit, shaped like some beast born from the shadows. With the gap in strength between them, as well as his own power as an Evil Spirit Master, Shi Shan and Shi Hai were easily beaten to the ground and rendered helpless.

Looking at the two crippled men, a flicker of reluctance flashed in Shi Feng's eyes, only to be quickly replaced by madness.

"Unfilial son, unfilial son..." Shi Hai cursed at Shi Feng, but Shi Feng turned a deaf ear.

"Teacher, what are you doing?" Shi Feng seemed to have realized something.

"Your recovery requires the flesh and blood of Spirit Masters who share your Bloodline. Who could be more suitable than these two?" The black robed figure pointed at the two men on the ground, looking at Shi Feng with mocking eyes.

"I..." Shi Feng hesitated, but then felt a cold chill wrap around his neck. His hair stood on end, and his breathing nearly stopped.

If he refused, he would definitely die!

Shi Feng screamed in terror inside. His desire to survive overwhelmed the little familial affection he had left. Facing his own father and grandfather, Shi Feng began to perform the secret technique, while the black robed figure helped him quickly refine their flesh and blood.

The entire Shi Family met its doom that day. A completely maddened Shi Feng slaughtered his own kin, sealing their blood and souls inside his own body in pursuit of future power.

The extermination lasted the entire night. By the time outsiders followed the scent of blood and discovered that the Shi Family had been wiped out, Shi Feng had long since been taken away by the black robed figure.

Because he had sealed so much blood and so many souls within his body, Shi Feng felt dizzy and heavy headed, as if countless vengeful souls were screaming beside his ears. His entire mind was filled with indescribable chaos.

Shi Feng followed his teacher toward the so called safe area.

Yet, even though his mind was far from clear, Shi Feng gradually realized exactly which direction they were heading.

He would never forget this place for as long as he lived. He, with the esteemed status of a Spirit Grandmaster and a disciple of Shrek Academy, had been ambushed here by an Evil Spirit Master, leading him to his current miserable fate.

"Evil Spirit Master..." Shi Feng murmured those three words. He felt an itch deep in his brain, but it was ultimately swallowed by the chaos.

After a long time, Shi Feng arrived at a familiar mountain pass. Although several years had passed, the traces left behind by their old campsite were still very obvious.

"Teacher, are we going to rest?" Shi Feng asked, clutching his increasingly painful head.

"Yes, we are going to rest." The black robed figure chuckled and brought Shi Feng to sit within the pass.

"How do you feel?" the black robed figure asked.

"I feel a bit dizzy..." Shi Feng pounded his head in pain, feeling as if hallucinations of wailing and cursing were constantly ringing in his ears.

"Do you recognize this place?"

"I do. A few years ago, I was ambushed here by a little bastard. Evil Spirit Masters should just obediently die, after all, I am a big shot from Shrek..." Shi Feng's mind was chaotic, and he began speaking without thinking.

Only after finishing did Shi Feng suddenly react. He raised his head and forced a twisted smile at the black robed figure.

"Teacher, I was confused."

"Yes, you were confused. Otherwise, how could you have offended such a big shot?"

The black robed figure stood up, pulled down the hood from his head, and revealed an equally twisted smile.

Seeing this, Shi Feng's mind seemed to clear all at once, but a sharp pain prevented him from speaking.

The black robed figure walked to the side and bowed respectfully toward the darkness.

"My Lord, the matter has been handled according to your wishes. I truly did not expect there to be such self righteous idiots in this world, nor such rotten seeds."

Under Shi Feng's terrified gaze, a figure slowly walked out of the darkness. Although the person was vastly different from several years ago, Shi Feng instantly recognized that face.

"Little..." Shi Feng wanted to curse, but after uttering only one word, he could no longer control his body.

Chen Ming walked to Shi Feng's side and coldly looked down at his face. Looking at Shi Feng, who had lost his limbs and twisted into a bizarre lump of flesh, Chen Ming suddenly felt bored.

He lightly snapped his fingers, and the black robed figure immediately cooperated by lifting the suggestion placed on Shi Feng.

At that moment, Shi Feng finally discovered his own appearance.

His limbs had begun to melt. His palms had fused with his scalp, and his entire body was swelling, turning into a twisted lump of flesh. Countless curses and shrill screams rang in his ears. His mind was suffering every moment under the torment of the vengeful souls of his relatives, whom he had sealed within his own body.

"No, no!"

Shi Feng screamed in terror, but he could not stop his body from gradually melting.

Chen Ming came before Shi Feng and lightly tapped a finger against his head, causing the refined plague power within his body to surge out.

Shi Feng's body, which had turned into a lump of flesh with a human face, began to rapidly rot, ooze pus, proliferate, and become diseased. However, because so much blood and vitality had been sealed within his body, and because Chen Ming was deliberately controlling it, Shi Feng's body constantly fluctuated between rotting and healing.

In front of Shi Feng, Chen Ming took out a shovel and quickly dug a large pit in the ground using his own strength. Then, he kicked the wailing Shi Feng into the pit and began filling it with soil, one shovelful at a time.

Shi Feng, who had completely lost his human form and had only a face remaining, could only watch as the soil continuously covered his body, eventually sinking him completely into darkness.

The rotting and twisting of his body brought boundless pain, while his mind was constantly gnawed at and tormented by countless vengeful souls.

Buried in the soil, Shi Feng continued to let out silent wails, lingering on in a hellish environment. Finally, after an unknown amount of time passed, Shi Feng's flesh completely decayed, and his soul escaped the imprisonment of his body.

But just as Shi Feng's tattered soul left his body, a force drew it away.

Chen Ming carried a lantern specially crafted by Zhang Peng. Looking at Shi Feng's tattered and fragmented soul, he revealed a cold smile.

As spirit power surged, scorching flames ignited within the lantern. Shi Feng's soul was set ablaze by the special fire, releasing one final, sorrowful cry.

When the flames ceased, Shi Feng's soul had been completely decomposed into the smallest traces of basic energy, thoroughly merging into the world.

Although Chen Ming had never liked tormenting people's souls, he felt not the slightest psychological burden when facing someone like Shi Feng.
